Principal Sukhwant Singh gave us Ishmeet Singh and now he has delivered with Devinder Pal Singh, the 17 year old prodigy, who has shot to fame in a matter of days! An Appreciation Thread
We have been following his progress from his first audition till his grand entry into the Top 5 of this competition and he has grown from strength to strength to become an overnight sensation!
He deserves each word of his praise and this thread is dedicated to him and his amazingly matured performances in this show and in future as well.
Why we love Devinder Pal Singh?
- He has an amazing versatile voice at only the tender age of 17, amazing voice quality and maturity.
- He has a fun loving, Chardikala attitude, and seems to take whatever comes to him with happiness;
- He is very modest and seems down to earth;
- He is such a Pyaara Bacha (Lovely Kid!)
in the words of Anuj Malik! - Asha Bhonsle simply adores him and Lata Mangeshkar simply loves him;
- He has such a natural, non-contrived way of singing;
- Expressions are simply Just right!
About Devinder Pal Singh
Age: 17
Location: Born in Patna, Bihar but now resides in Ludhiana, Punjab
School: Guru Nanak Public School, Ludhiana
Music Career: Started singing at 9. His formal training under Ustad Sukhwant Singh began when he was in 12th. He can sing Bollywood, Sufi, Classical and Western. He won Voice of Bihar and came in 3rd place in a competition commemorating the memory of Ishmeet Singh.
