ATTARI(Amritsar): Residents of Indo-Pak border villages around Attari border experienced sleepless night when four rockets were fired from Pakistan to Indian Territory on Friday night.
Confirming the incident BSF official said that as per assessment four rockets were fired and two of them blasted in the border villages around Attari border and rest two rockets failed to explode. However, so far no causality has been reported.
Official said that due to dense fog almost zero visibility BSF forces were finding difficulties to locate the exact location where two rockets fell and blasted in the agriculture fields. He said that two rockets which did not blast after falling on Indian Territory were traced out at Kahangarh post of BSF.
Immediate after the incident, BSF held flag meeting around 3.00 a.m. with their Pakistani counterparts who instantly denied any fire was made by the Pakistan forces from their side to India.
As per sources, when BSF troops present during night duty saw two rockets came from Pakistan, blasted in the agriculture field, did retaliatory fire towards Pakistan.
Official said that exact picture would be cleared later in the day with the improvement of visibility which is poor due to dense fog as how many rockets were fired from Pakistan last night.
