In these questions the Sidhs post what is the origin of mind or soul without a functioning body. How would the breaths of life sustain without functioning centres enabling these? Does wisdom attach to formlessness? Without conception or life is all this of no consideration?

Let us review the following,

Sidhas/Yogis ask:
Jā ih hirḏā ḏeh na hoṯī ṯa▫o man kaiṯẖai rahṯā. Nābẖ kamal asthambẖ na hoṯo ṯā pavan kavan gẖar sahṯā.
When no heart, no body where did the mind so reside? When no support from navel ring, which body did the breath find support?
Rūp na hoṯo rekẖ na kā▫ī ṯā sabaḏ kahā liv lā▫ī. Rakaṯ binḏ kī maṛī na hoṯī miṯ kīmaṯ nahī pā▫ī.
No form or shape then where would the wisdom find attachment? When the body not formed of ovum and sperm, when no value to attach to such?

Guru Ji’s answers:
When the color and persona not contemplated, how could the true one be contemplated upon? Nanak, hermit colored in understanding only see the truest of the true one.

Hirḏā ḏeh na hoṯī a▫oḏẖū ṯa▫o man sunn rahai bairāgī. Nābẖ kamal asthambẖ na hoṯo ṯā nij gẖar basṯa▫o pavan anrāgī.
O hermit, when no heart and body, then the mind so situated in the formless. When no navel and the ring to support then the breath so resided in creator’s love.

Rūp na rekẖ▫i▫ā jāṯ na hoṯī ṯa▫o akulīṇ rahṯa▫o sabaḏ so sār. Ga▫un gagan jab ṯabėh na hoṯa▫o ṯaribẖavaṇ joṯ āpe nirankār.
When no form, shape or class, then the such lived in the classless creator. Worldly flow and the sky when not existent, the light of the formless filled the three realms.

varan bẖekẖ asrūp so eko eko sabaḏ vidāṇī. Sācẖ binā sūcẖā ko nāhī Nānak akath kahāṇī. ||67||
When the persona, form of astonished being, one wisdom in one prevailed. Without the ever present true one none could become pure, Nanak such is the unspoken story.
Guru ji state that sundry preoccupation without focus on the source is superfluous. Only when such limitations are removed that the truth becomes visible. Guru ji state that in the absence of a body visualization, all resides in the one creator. Such a creator in existence all over without classifications or boundaries. It is the recognition and association of a true creator that enables wisdom.

What you think?

Sat Sri Akal.

This is why Gurmatt and Gurbani via the SGGS strongly condemns DEH WORSHIP..dehdhareeism and living gurus...and also pictures, statuues of past gurus etc. ALL these HINDER our connection with the SOURCE - HIM. The Human body is simply a vehicle an instrument to get to the SOURCE - therefore other joons as punishment for bad karma etc is also a figment of the imagination suggested in order to mind control large sections of humanity by the privileged few - Gurbani is absolutley clear that ONLY the HUMAN BODY has the capacity to house the soul that can achieve HIM....the other animals etc are INCAPABLE of what the Human Body can do. Kabir Ji gives the apt example of the buffalo...

When there was no form of universe and no life, then the Lord was ALL within his unmanifest self (akulin)
Then the 3 realms didn't exist since the light of the formless filled these completely and there were no distinguishable realms!

The colour, form and dress were all contained in the true lord that is present in the form of the shabad (varan bẖekẖ asrūp so eko eko sabaḏ vidāṇī )

Lucky Singh ji,

Guru Fateh.

I beg to differ with you.

Sikhi is the way of living which is not afraid to say,"We do not know, perhaps, one day we may find a speck of it or have an inkling if we stay on the Sikhi Marg".

The word Sikh- a learner shows us that, unlike in the dogmatic religions which are based on their self created subjective truths.

Let's keep on learning as Sikhs.
