Khalsaji you are talking about prakash of Dasam Granth, I challenge if any body has guts to read out stories from Charitropakhanya from Dasm Granth in Gurdwara in front of his sister, mother or daughter. These are pornographic stories and can not be Baani of Sri Guru Gobind Singhji. What are your views ?

yeah that makes perfect sense, by day, spiritual leader and Guru, by night, compiler of cheap titilation and mucky stories.

The Sikh Rehat Maryada clearly states:

(j) A Sikh must not take hemp (cannabis), opium, liquor, tobacco, in short any intoxicant. His only routine intake should be food. (SRM: Chapter X, Article XVI)

To violate the conditions of SRM in a Gurdwara or even in a building attached with it is condemnable. It is not a matter of perspective, it is a matter of principle.

The problem with panthic news articles is that the story misrepresents what actually happened. The purpose is not however to roil the panth but to achieve a following for the owner of the venue who also operates other Sikh news outlets that Purport to speak for the panth.

The thread is not about Dasam Granth and discussions of parameters of Dasam Granth's shortcomings are discussed on many threads here. I am also at a loss as to why a very old thread has surfaced as a focal point of today's discussion. The story of the OP has long settled in the dust of time.
