ਆਪੁ ਸਵਾਰਹਿ ਮੈ ਮਿਲਹਿ ਮੈ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ਫਰੀਦਾ ਜੇ ਤੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੋਇ ਰਹਹਿ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੋਇ ੯੫॥
Āp savārėh mai milėh mai mili▫ā sukẖ ho▫e. Farīḏā je ṯū merā ho▫e rahėh sabẖ jag ṯerā ho▫e. ||95||
Reform yourself I so meet, in my meeting comfort happens. Farid, if you become mine (of the creator), the whole world so becomes yours

ਕੰਧੀ ਉਤੈ ਰੁਖੜਾ ਕਿਚਰਕੁ ਬੰਨੈ ਧੀਰੁ ਫਰੀਦਾ ਕਚੈ ਭਾਂਡੈ ਰਖੀਐ ਕਿਚਰੁ ਤਾਈ ਨੀਰੁ ੯੬॥
Kanḏẖī uṯai rukẖ▫ṛā kicẖrak bannai ḏẖīr. Farīḏā kacẖai bẖāʼndai rakẖī▫ai kicẖar ṯā▫ī nīr. ||96||
A lonely tree at a bank, how long can so persevere. Farid, how long water can be kept in soft clay utensil.

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਮਹਲ ਨਿਸਖਣ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਵਾਸਾ ਆਇਆ ਤਲਿ ਗੋਰਾਂ ਸੇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀਆ ਬਹਸਨਿ ਰੂਹਾਂ ਮਲਿ
Farīḏā mahal nisakẖaṇ rėh ga▫e vāsā ā▫i▫ā ṯal. Gorāʼn se nimāṇī▫ā bahsan rūhāʼn mal.
Farid, mansions are totally empty, residents below ground. So disdained graves, souls will so occupy .

ਆਖੀਂ ਸੇਖਾ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਚਲਣੁ ਅਜੁ ਕਿ ਕਲਿ ੯੭॥
Ākẖīʼn sekẖā banḏagī cẖalaṇ aj kė kal. ||97||
Says Sheikh pray, be going today or tomorrow.

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਮਉਤੈ ਦਾ ਬੰਨਾ ਏਵੈ ਦਿਸੈ ਜਿਉ ਦਰੀਆਵੈ ਢਾਹਾ ਅਗੈ ਦੋਜਕੁ ਤਪਿਆ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਹੂਲ ਪਵੈ ਕਾਹਾਹਾ
Farīḏā ma▫uṯai ḏā bannā evai ḏisai ji▫o ḏarī▫āvai dẖāhā. Agai ḏojak ṯapi▫ā suṇī▫ai hūl pavai kāhāhā.
Farid, the shore of death looks as like the river bank eroding. Further down burning hell, can hear noises and noises of agony.

ਇਕਨਾ ਨੋ ਸਭ ਸੋਝੀ ਆਈ ਇਕਿ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹਾ ਅਮਲ ਜਿ ਕੀਤਿਆ ਦੁਨੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਸੇ ਦਰਗਹ ਓਗਾਹਾ ੯੮॥
Iknā no sabẖ sojẖī ā▫ī ik firḏe veparvāhā. Amal jė kīṯi▫ā ḏunī vicẖ se ḏargėh ohāgā. ||98||
Some have so understood, some wander unaware. What is done in the world, so accompany in creator’s abode.

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਦਰੀਆਵੈ ਕੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੈ ਬਗੁਲਾ ਬੈਠਾ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੇ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੇਦੇ ਹੰਝ ਨੋ ਅਚਿੰਤੇ ਬਾਜ ਪਏ
Farīḏā ḏarī▫āvai kanĥai bagulā baiṯẖā kel kare. Kel kareḏe hanjẖ no acẖinṯe bāj pa▫e.
Farid, at the river bank crane is being playful. Swan so playful, unforeseen the hawks attack.

ਬਾਜ ਪਏ ਤਿਸੁ ਰਬ ਦੇ ਕੇਲਾਂ ਵਿਸਰੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਮਨਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਚੇਤੇ ਸਨਿ ਸੋ ਗਾਲੀ ਰਬ ਕੀਆਂ ੯੯॥
Bāj pa▫e ṯis rab ḏe kelāʼn visrī▫āʼn. Jo man cẖiṯ na cẖeṯe san so gālī rab kī▫āʼn. ||99||
When the so hawks of creator attack, all playfulness is forgotten. What was not on mind or remembered, so creator carried out.

ਸਾਢੇ ਤ੍ਰੈ ਮਣ ਦੇਹੁਰੀ ਚਲੈ ਪਾਣੀ ਅੰਨਿ ਆਇਓ ਬੰਦਾ ਦੁਨੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਵਤਿ ਆਸੂਣੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ
Sādẖe ṯarai maṇ ḏehurī cẖalai pāṇī ann. Ā▫i▫o banḏā ḏunī vicẖ vaṯ āsūṇī banėh.
One hundred forty kilogram body moves with water and grain. Human comes to the world repeatedly with nice little expectations.

ਮਲਕਲ ਮਉਤ ਜਾਂ ਆਵਸੀ ਸਭ ਦਰਵਾਜੇ ਭੰਨਿ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ਭਾਈਆਂ ਅਗੈ ਦਿਤਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ
Malkal ma▫uṯ jāʼn āvsī sabẖ ḏarvāje bẖann. Ŧinĥā pi▫āri▫ā bẖā▫ī▫āʼn agai ḏiṯā banėh.
When angel of death comes breaking down all doors. In front of loving brothers, one is strapped.

ਵੇਖਹੁ ਬੰਦਾ ਚਲਿਆ ਚਹੁ ਜਣਿਆ ਦੈ ਕੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਫਰੀਦਾ ਅਮਲ ਜਿ ਕੀਤੇ ਦੁਨੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਆਏ ਕੰਮਿ ੧੦੦॥
vekẖhu banḏā cẖali▫ā cẖahu jaṇi▫ā ḏai kaʼnniĥ. Farīḏā amal jė kīṯe ḏunī vicẖ ḏargėh ā▫e kamm. ||100||
Look, human is leaving on the shoulders of four people. Farid, deeds done in the world come of use in creator’s abode.

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਪੰਖੀਆ ਜੰਗਲਿ ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਵਾਸੁ ਕਕਰੁ ਚੁਗਨਿ ਥਲਿ ਵਸਨਿ ਰਬ ਛੋਡਨਿ ਪਾਸੁ ੧੦੧॥
Farīḏā ha▫o balihārī ṯinĥ pankẖī▫ā jangal jinĥā vās. Kakar cẖugan thal vasan rab na cẖẖodan pās. ||101||
Farid, how awesome those birds that reside in the jungle. Picking up pebbles, staying on the ground and never leave the side of the creator.

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਰੁਤਿ ਫਿਰੀ ਵਣੁ ਕੰਬਿਆ ਪਤ ਝੜੇ ਝੜਿ ਪਾਹਿ ਚਾਰੇ ਕੁੰਡਾ ਢੂੰਢੀਆਂ ਰਹਣੁ ਕਿਥਾਊ ਨਾਹਿ ੧੦੨॥
Farīḏā ruṯ firī vaṇ kambi▫ā paṯ jẖaṛe jẖaṛ pāhi. Cẖāre kundā dẖūʼndẖī▫āʼn rahaṇ kithā▫ū nāhi. ||102||
Farid. season changed forest trembled leaves falling continuously. Searched in all four directions, there is no resting place.

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਪਾੜਿ ਪਟੋਲਾ ਧਜ ਕਰੀ ਕੰਬਲੜੀ ਪਹਿਰੇਉ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਵੇਸੀ ਸਹੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੇਈ ਵੇਸ ਕਰੇਉ ੧੦੩॥
Farīḏā pāṛ patolā ḏẖaj karī kamblaṛī pahire▫o. Jinĥī vesī saho milai se▫ī ves kare▫o. ||103||
Farid I ripped all clothes to shreds, just wearing a shoulder blanket. In style that creator meets, so a style to do.

ਕਾਇ ਪਟੋਲਾ ਪਾੜਤੀ ਕੰਬਲੜੀ ਪਹਿਰੇਇ ਨਾਨਕ ਘਰ ਹੀ ਬੈਠਿਆ ਸਹੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਜੇ ਨੀਅਤਿ ਰਾਸਿ ਕਰੇਇ ੧੦੪॥
▫e patolā pāṛ▫ṯī kamblaṛī pahire▫e. Nānak gẖar hī baiṯẖi▫ā saho milai je nī▫aṯ rās kare▫i. ||104||
Why rip up dress and wear a shoulder blanket. Nanak, creator can meet in the house, if intent is pure.

Guru Arjan Dev ji
ਫਰੀਦਾ ਗਰਬੁ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਵਡਿਆਈਆ ਧਨਿ ਜੋਬਨਿ ਆਗਾਹ ਖਾਲੀ ਚਲੇ ਧਣੀ ਸਿਉ ਟਿਬੇ ਜਿਉ ਮੀਹਾਹੁ ੧੦੫॥
Farīḏā garab jinĥā vaḏi▫ā▫ī▫ā ḏẖan joban āgāh. Kẖālī cẖale ḏẖaṇī si▫o tibe ji▫o mīhahu. ||105||
Farid, those who pride in fame, wealth and youth in abundance. Such leave without creator’s blessing, just as sand hills dry after rain.

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਤਿਨਾ ਮੁਖ ਡਰਾਵਣੇ ਜਿਨਾ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਓਨੁ ਨਾਉ ਐਥੈ ਦੁਖ ਘਣੇਰਿਆ ਅਗੈ ਠਉਰ ਠਾਉ ੧੦੬॥
Farīḏā ṯinā mukẖ darāvaṇe jinā visāri▫on nā▫o. Aithai ḏukẖ gẖaṇeri▫ā agai ṯẖa▫ur na ṯẖā▫o. ||106||
Farid, faces are dreadful of those that forsake creator’s understanding. Many hurts here and hereafter no place or support

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਪਿਛਲ ਰਾਤਿ ਜਾਗਿਓਹਿ ਜੀਵਦੜੋ ਮੁਇਓਹਿ ਜੇ ਤੈ ਰਬੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਆ ਰਬਿ ਵਿਸਰਿਓਹਿ ੧੦੭॥
Farīḏā picẖẖal rāṯ na jāgi▫ohi jīvaḏ▫ṛo mu▫i▫ohi. Je ṯai rab visāri▫ā ṯa rab na visari▫ohi. ||107||
Farid, not awake at dawn is like living dead. If you have forgotten the creator, creator has not forgotten you.

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਕੰਤੁ ਰੰਗਾਵਲਾ ਵਡਾ ਵੇਮੁਹਤਾਜੁ ਅਲਹ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਤਿਆ ਏਹੁ ਸਚਾਵਾਂ ਸਾਜੁ ੧੦੮॥
Farīḏā kanṯ rangvālā vadā vemuhṯāj. Alah seṯī raṯi▫ā ehu sacẖāvāʼn sāj. ||108||
Farid, creator is wonderful, very self-sufficient. Colored with the creator, such is the true makeup.

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਇਕੁ ਕਰਿ ਦਿਲ ਤੇ ਲਾਹਿ ਵਿਕਾਰੁ ਅਲਹ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਭਲਾ ਤਾਂ ਲਭੀ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ ੧੦੯॥
Farīḏā ḏukẖ sukẖ ik kar ḏil ṯe lāhi vikār. Alah bẖāvai so bẖalā ṯāʼn labẖī ḏarbār. ||109||
Farid, make one of pain and pleasure, remove ill will from the heart. What pleases the creator, so is well, this leads to finding the creator’s court.

Guru Arjan Dev ji

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਦੁਨੀ ਵਜਾਈ ਵਜਦੀ ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਵਜਹਿ ਨਾਲਿ ਸੋਈ ਜੀਉ ਵਜਦਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਅਲਹੁ ਕਰਦਾ ਸਾਰ ੧੧੦॥
Farīḏā ḏunī vajā▫ī vajḏī ṯūʼn bẖī vajėh nāl. So▫ī jī▫o na vajḏā jis alhu karḏā sār. ||110||
Farid, world is play acting as played, you are so play acting too. Such person do not play act, who the creator so cares.

Guru Arjan Dev ji

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਦਿਲੁ ਰਤਾ ਇਸੁ ਦੁਨੀ ਸਿਉ ਦੁਨੀ ਕਿਤੈ ਕੰਮਿ ਮਿਸਲ ਫਕੀਰਾਂ ਗਾਖੜੀ ਸੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਪੂਰ ਕਰੰਮਿ ੧੧੧॥
Farīḏā ḏil raṯā is ḏunī si▫o ḏunī na kiṯai kamm. Misal fakīrāʼn gākẖ▫ṛī so pā▫ī▫ai pūr karamm. ||111||
Farid, coloring your heart with the world, world is of little use. Living like the pious is difficult and only comes with great fortune.

ਪਹਿਲੈ ਪਹਰੈ ਫੁਲੜਾ ਫਲੁ ਭੀ ਪਛਾ ਰਾਤਿ ਜੋ ਜਾਗੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਲਹੰਨਿ ਸੇ ਸਾਈ ਕੰਨੋ ਦਾਤਿ ੧੧੨॥
Pahilai pahrai fulṛā fal bẖī pacẖẖā rāṯ. Jo jāgaʼnniĥ lahann se sā▫ī kanno ḏāṯ. ||112||
First calling of dawn is like flower, fruit is also so produced. So wakeful at dawn receive creator’s gifts.

ESSENCE: Baba Farid ji in sloak 95 state that if one connects to the creator that the whole world connects to oneself.

Baba Farid ji in Sloaks 96-99 describe the essence of passing time versus realization of the creator by oneself. The high mansions become vacant, one is dissipated after death, this could happen today or tomorrow. With passage of time one so observes the anguish of approaching death which is like a river eating at its banks. Carelessly and in abandon some so proceed and unaware only to be so surprised like when the hawks attack the swans so playful. All panic happens at such a moment.

Baba Farid ji in Sloak 100 describe the physical big person supported by food and little fantasies. One so leaves all at the time of death riding four shoulders. Only the real living in understanding o the creator carries forward.

Baba Farid ji in Sloak 101-102 describe the fading of a life lived like the falling of the leaves on trees. Farid ji marvel at the little birds pecking on the stones who so stay near to the ground an d the creator.

Farid ji postulate in Sloak 103 to get rid of fanciful clothes and be so covered by a little blanket for humility and say one to be as the creator would so love.

Guru Amardas ji in Sloak 104 state as to why worry about clothes as pure intent is all that is needed to so reach the creator.

Baba Farid ji in Sloaks 105-106 describe that all wealth and ego centric self visualizations don’t go far and don’t help in the hereafter. The visual of those uncaring of the creator as distraught with lot of hurting here and hereafter.

Baba Farid ji in Sloaks 107-110 describe the need to remember the creator as such does, the true glow is the recognition of the creator, the need to not disparage but treat pain and comfort as one so leads to the understanding of the creator, there are people being played by the creator but only the blessed ones so escape.

In Sloaks 111-112 state that the worldly focus is of little use and the pious life, even though difficult comes with great fortune. The early dawn is metaphorically used by Baba Farid ji as a time when the flowers start to open and the fruit start to mature and so do the blessings come about in this, such a peaceful and wonderful environ .

IN THESE sloaks sheikh faridji had made us realised the reality of life that each n every time comes in life happy as well as sad so we shud be aware of this n never b disappointed or xtremely happy as we know that dusk comes after dawn n dawn comes after dusk so js realise this reality in life n move forward.:faujasingh:
