Amritsar - 1984 The mourning awaiting a dawn...

War and battle, nation versus land and brother against man, how they fight
It haunts, the weeping of widows of the sleeping in deathless slumber, the walking dead
Faces once radiant, beautiful and fair, now darkened with sorrow ,trapped in their caves of pain.

Twenty five years later, of a battle long forgotten, It was I who was slumbering as my people were slaughtered
In a nation loved as my own. Tortured souls, none listens they tell in broken voices tales of woe too pained to bear
Fathers, Sons, Brothers and Husbands beaten, battered and burnt alive before their eyes, Dear God what is this.

Raising their little ones in ghettos and slums, where no one dare ask if they are well, fearing the tears that swell, tales to tell.
From eyes long dead, unseeing and haunted, with visions of such horror, and a pain few have courage to hear
Heart breaks and it aches, is it not forsaking, to cover our ears than confront abject fears, of ghosts wandering, ghostly.

They dare not break, on camera, aggrieved, forsaken and tell of their misery, in poverty looted of all they held dear
The forgotten ones of the absent Sun, set in their world for gain glory’s for others, of a modern interest
How do we live, or rest, when confessed the wailing of a legacy as enslaved as its Land, a heritage, God no!

The forgotten ones, not worthy of attention, no consumerist circumvention or social value at all, appal
Feel my pain, as it bleeds, He said, heart wounded and broken, as our own dejection is echoed far away in other places
Life is dire, look to the less fortunate, than the better than I’s, Edlers say, but how Father, I have not the strength.

Fear the might of a tyrant masqueraded as a government as others as crooked, relied upon sins for their own transgressions.
They come in the night, loot, pillage and fright, and neither God, Lord or saviour in sight, they said
How do we live, breathe, for tears once wept copiously for holocaust victims, at a time our lights were silently extinguished.

Extremist they said, as they stole and they bled, each soul that dared question their savage brutality, inexcusable
In lands of the free, and plenty what bloodlust for the lives, sweat and tears of the hungry and poor, of foreign alien ones.
Feel Gods Pain, as the rich feast on souls kept impoverished, still lamenting, whilst anguished beings exists in haunted caves, forgiving...

A paryer for the survivors of the 1984 holocaust - May their days be blessed with Peace, Prosperity and Much Love.
Temporarily exorcised for your bold exclusion, Waheguru Di Mehr..

YouTube - Message to God: Words of a Guru - Amazing Must Watch!

The Brahm Giaani and His Children of Light.
Little ones of innocence led by guidance of Guru’s
Blessed blessed blessed be the place where you dwell
Lines with trees of fragrant trees and flowers of many colours
The streets whereupon you tread, abide and pass by.
Pavitar Puran Patti Parmeshwar keep you in peace and sensibility
As token of the laud and honour you bestow upon your Father
In hour of need, in times if silent pleading, may the Spirit guide you
Take your hand and lead the way, as Light, as Love as Liberty.
May want near not your beings, nor sin ever cast its shadow near
May your lamps be blessed with oil, your cup to the ambrosia of contentment
Where so your gaze wander, you find The Parental Lords loving glance
Smiling in kindness upon you, in wonder, in awe, at his reflections
Good times come, and bad days set in promise of brighter morns
Understanding affords balance, gentility gives grace, compassion kindness
Little Lights of The Lords creating in times of darkness, be as candles
As Steady Lamps to Light the path of others, Gods and Angels alike.
By the grace of his creation the Lord rests peacefully, in their woe, suffers
The pangs of their helplessness in ages when power wanes and faith fades
Be as guiding lamps of benefaction to others as Gods guardians entrusted
Rich in spirit, in proliferating peace, in peace and love abide, as Lords immortal
Mothers, Sisters, Wives and Daughters are as upholders of their kith and kin
In sobriety and sense, by grace recompensed, let virtue be its own reward
The rich in faith become strong in spirit, created from the greater kiln
Lighthouses for lost ships in stormy oceans, set sail and homeward bound.
Father, Lord, Supreme Creator is as Great as his children’s fidelity and faith
In dedicated devotion directed in peace and steadfastness, by the same measure
Is gained from above and within what we pour forth from mind and deed
In deed and mind be as Fortresses, Temples of his Pure Virtue and Wisdom.
Rich in Spirit, Rich in Sense, Rich in The Lords benefaction...

This poem is one of the better known of Bhai Vir Singh ji.
It is presumed that he is describing a dream in which he saw Guru Gobind Singh ji.

You can appreciate the sublime and eloquentness of the poem:

Supne vich tusi mile asanu
Asa ja galvkri pai
Nira nur tusi hath na ae
Sadi kambdi rahi kalai

Ja charana te shish nivaia
Sade mathe choh na pai

Tusi uche asi nive sa
Sadi pesh na gaya kai

Fir lar farne nu uth dure
Par lar oh bijli lehira

Ud da janda par oh apni
Chuh sanu giya lai

Mitti chamek pai eh moi
Te tusi luha vich lishke
Bijli kund gayi thrrandi
Hun chakachund he chai..

The translation as given by Bhai Vir Singh Sahitya Sadan, New Delhi is as follows:

You came to me at last in my dream:
Gasping, I struggled, trying to enclose you in my arms.
Ah, but your effulgent self slipped, gliding from my grasp,
Leaving my arms the poorer, streched out and trembling.

I bent my head that it might touch your feet;
Your touch eluded me still.
Abased as I was, how could my fumbling hands,
attain to your exalted self,
Helpless in the uttermost in reaching out to you?
Then I rushed up to touch your waving scarf;
This too, like a lightning - flash, evaded me,
Swift in its swirling -
One touch, one faint and momentry touch,
Blessed my being
And in this blessedness
A spirit filled my lifeless clay,
Brightness burst out at every pore:
It was all in a flash, a trembling iinstant,
My eyes were left dazed by the blinding brilliance.

Kaal ki hanneri vich, Diye nahi jallayi de...
In the dark and stormy night of evil, light not your lamp where the wind blows wantonly
where the evil eye watches surreptitiously the light where Love dwells
and shames not from desecrating purity to devour its Holy Light.

Dus ve Sajna, Ki Bhul Huyi, Ke Jalta hua Diva pe daala andhera
Speak Lord what ailed your mind, when extinguishing, without mercy, the flame of my Lamp
Am I to dwell amongst lepers of insobriety in caves where shadows torment
Cast long by the burning of Loves pyre, to warm the gaze of a philandering whim

Yeh Zindagi ke bandan , Ya kismet ki lakheeran, Taqdeer apni mangti hisaab
The bonds and unions of Life, The hand of fate, Life demands a reckoning
Sinless and free of blame, the refrain of gains earnt in arduous toil, of fidelity
Given to a One reviled for his evil wickedness, of sinners gluttoned by their debauchery

Kee naam se twanu pukariye, kis tol se minnye mol, gadaari di baas madhosh karr rahi hai
What name do I give thee, by what measure adjudge thee, the stench of treachery repels.
Lord and Master seem such grand terms, Spouse ones Self in Soul, How do I beseech thee
The adored abhorred for his meandering, the innocent spellbound or anger leading astray the good.

Kehdo ik baar, himmat barhow, pakaro haath agar himmat hain, Ja chaddo is tamashi natak se.
Speak once, Summon a little courage, take this hand stretched forth, or spare this spectacle, and farcical lie.
Love and fidelity require a courage and honour, bereft, one wanders as the wanton, wind without sail
Love is not for cowards, or souls sold to the market for lucrative gains, known by an altogether different name.

Kende Pyar Ki Jot, Svaar Detti Zindagi ki Duniye, Ab Suniya Jagga Jagga Piyar ki Galla Kutta Jaata Hai
It is spoken thus, by the wise and worldly, Love illumines all it touches, Life is Blessed, I have heard it rumoured
In this dark age, Loves neck is suffocated where so it seeks a sanctum, what travesty of justice is this
The bazaar di mehfil, deficient denizens elevated in rank, its enlightenment, pillage by their witchery ways
Kalyug da gerra, or was the mighty one always so easily led, whilst Love bled its tears upon its own burning heart.

Ve Doliyah, kache karre ne aaj tak kadi musafir paar lagaya, sej taraya, manzil panchaya,
Listen Beloved, have fast baked clay pots, taken man to his end, upheld in stormy weathers,
To a destined nirvana, many have drowned by their bright alluring devices, in repentance
Pyaar ke vishwaas ke pank lagake, with the wings of faith and fortitude, transcend early wiles
Awaaz sundi raat de nerra vich, sandesa pejja Yaarab ne, aur sadde perran de sangal dekh sakkia nahin...
He commanded from on high, return of traveller of time immortal, return homewards
Yet could not see the chains of fear and deception entwine about my feet

Akheer mein, ab agayi hai akal, aur rakshas ko mittona bakki, ab rendi teri immnadaari da saboot bakki
In this final hour, my sense and wisdom govern and lead. The slaying of these aggrandised demons remains to be done.
A lingering proof of your integrity, honuourability and fidelity remains as yet undiscerned,
What of God, Lords and Angels, in times this soul athirsted for a show of your humanity, insaaniyat.

Gusse Gille

What care I if you bow your head, if you bow not in your heart{Nanak}

Bholl zarra soch kar, jaan ji, eh bolon ko chukate hail lok, mala de girte moti taran
Girhe hue hoton de moti, amrit ko bana jaate hain zeher, agar sun-ne vale na samaj-he

Gusse gile, shikettan aur tehere paani pe penka kankar, bikarte kahi raaz khol jaate hain

What care I if You bow your head, If you bow not in your heart{Nanak}
What worth of promises and covenant, neither kept safe nor fulfilled
What matter of the bowing of your head, if the mind and heart merge not in union

Matters of heart, the minds understanding, it is said, the unspoken is heard regardless
Think before speaking, dear, these words are received as pearls from a broken garland of truth
Pearls cascading from a chain, fall as poison to sensitive ones, when spoken inconsiderately

Anger, wrath, resentment are as still waters, running deep, cast asunder by the casting of a stone
Disclose a thousand truths unwittingly given away
Dwelling in house of clear glass, cast your stones mindfully, My Love, the thirsted fish pining, wounds easily
Further listen and heed, it is said revealed truths, made known in marketplaces become as dust in worth

Talk not so vengefully, great towers fall by the might of the pen, by the inclination of your nod
Said Ranja to his Heer, if fear of the paapa's provoked not, those saddened eyes would surely smile again.
One finds not pearls on garbage piles, painted manifold the dung pies, become not fragrant by the gilding.

Gurfateh Jeetijohal Ji,

I avoided this script for a long time but the reasonable period to tolerate you is long gone past.

Please have some mercy on our poor beleaguered souls and stop tormenting us from your "not-so-out-of-the-world" use of obscure & redundant English diction... SPN is not Shakespearean forum, where you can continue using this style of diction and would get huge round of Acclamation, encomium, eulogy, kudos, panegyric or plaudit, your aboriginal, endemic, autochthonic writing style is nothing short of a major irritant, aggravation, annoyance, besetment, bother, irritation, nuisance, peeve, plague, torment, vexation to a common reader.

It is a common forum ethic to convey our messages in a plain simple English but in your infinite superiority complex of your extra-ordinary command on English diction, you forget that you have reduced yourself to nothing but a laughing stock amongst fellow members... Has anybody ever bothered to enter into a decent & discreet dialogue with you on any topic in this forum?

I observe that out of 386 off postings of yours on SPN, in 300 odd you have accused, derogate, denigrate, belittled, irritated, frustrated, mocked, tormented, decried, disparaged, disgruntled, accused SPN administration for reasons only know to you. And, if you are so much disgusted & frustrated by SPN administration then time has come to make a firm decision as to you would like to stop tormenting & excruciating us or we stop you from doing it remorsefully & contritely!

Further, in around 100 odd posts you have informed us boastfully yet pretentiously, bragged, vaunted, gasconaded, rodomontaded that this is going to be your last post on SPN and as we take a sigh of relief but Lo! there you come back again with more vengeful, spiteful, vindictive, malevolent absurd English diction of yours and start tormenting, agonizing, distressing, wretching, irritating & disgusting us allover again. Frankly, speaking i have never bothered reading your messages because i simply have no time checking up the thesaurus for the meanings of all those obnoxious, abhorrent, loathsome, abominable, contemptible, despicable, despisable, detestable, nefarious, odious, repugnant, vilest looking ambiguous, equivocal, recondite, abstruse, vague, cryptic, enigmatic words and try to comprehend, compass, conceive, fathom, what you are trying so hard to convey to our wandering, rambling, roaming, roving, meandering, straying, gallivant & gad minds...

My humble suggestion, proposal, proposition, submission, either have mercy, leniency, lenity, clemency, on our souls and find another avenue, boulevard, drive, expressway, thruway, turnpike, freeway, to vent your depressions & frustrations... we have had enough of you and would politely, mannerly, civilly, courteously, genteelly & humbly, respectfully request to leave SPN to Almighty's mercy, leniency, clemency, charity...

And, a final friendly warning, if we find any further postings of yours accusing SPN administration without any apparent reason and explanation, then i will personally make sure that posting will be yours last on SPN.

And all that i have muttered, mumbled, murmured above could have been said in six words in simple, absolute, perfect, plain, pure, undiluted, unmixed plain English...

Spare Us, Good Bye & Take Care :welcome:

Your rant is self deprecatorily laughable. My excess use of words, or opinions may be strong minded, and admittedly tormented, but polite compared to the childish trolling of your nk, who seems to encourage hate mail from others who do not share your views.

Deleting the Guru Nanak post was inappropriate and your lamentation a tad excessive. This forum was indeed quiet before my arrival, and yes, my predicament is of no concern to you at all. I find your moderator’s stance repugnant and derisory but this is not my forum or place to say.

It is unfortunate of all postings here on SPN you find my views as explained in your rant. I have no wish to ''torment'' and understand fully my personal presence on here exacts strong opinions from others who are always at liberty to respond accordingly. Yes I have endeavoured to leave on numerous occasions but unfortunately the hacks prefer to be seen to force my departure than my actual reluctance to court attentions by my views on internet forums, this one or any other.

I doubt whether you will allow this response to your torrent of derision, and whether you do or not is of no interest to me. By all means I have flouted all laws to encourage you to delete what you deem to be consistently offensive and abusive posts, something I will not even try to defend, be it laughable or your personal opinion.

I ask you to delete the entire account... <baseless rant deleted...by Aman Singh>

Please, feel free to do so...

I am not her to enter into dialogues with your or any other members but simply to preach which I have done. My time to depart is long overdue and my foes would want me to be expelled as I would them had I the power to do so, it is war, my war. As for preaching of freeways I do not deign to ask how narayanjot spends her free time, but we do not spend time strolling on freeways. I freely admit to my flaws but will not be accused of the sins of your moderating friend here. I have never discouraged anyone from questioning my views but do not as a rule socialise or enter into dialogues on an informal or non specific basis. Unfortunately you will find my verbiage is not netirely dissimilar to that of The Guru Nanaks, this fact is not heartening to me in any way. I fear he faced similar problems in his presdestined quest to enlighten.

Please delete the entire content of this account, your moderator welcomes the attention, I avoid it at all costs. You or your forum could not add or detract from what I Am. London has expelled me, now I ask that you actuate your threat and delete the entire contents...

Har modd har safar par.. gar saath jab koi ho..
phir dooriyon ka humko.. ehsaas hi nahi hai..

Honton se kuch na kehte.. par bolti nazar hain..
woh saath mere kal the.. woh saath aaj bhi hain..

Woh dard ko chupa ke.. hanste hain jab bhi aise..
kya sochte hain humko.. iska nahi guma hai..

Woh humse huye khafa.. kuch aisi adaa ke saath..
saari zindagi unhe hum manane ke liye.. raazi jabse huye hain..

Unki har baat par fida hain.. har baat mante hain..
yeh jaan kar unhone humse.. waade kuch aise liye huye hain..

Ki khud se kiya hai door.. di kaisi yeh sazaa hai..
jab humko hi woh apni.. duniya bana chuke hain..

Asaan nahi hai manjil.. ek dil main hosla hai..
jab saath woh hain mere.. phir darr hume kahan hai..

Bas thaam ke yeh haath.. hal karle saari mushkil..
do chaar hi kadam par.. khushiyon ke hi nishan hai..

Mil baat lenge khushiyan.. har dard se bacha ke..
le jayenge unhe hum.. jahan ek naya zahaan hai..

Phailake apni baahe.. awaaz de raha hai..
palken utha ke dekho.. woh apne sapno ka ashiyaan hai..

the english translation of the above poem:-

palken utha ke dekho.. woh apne sapno ka ashiyaan hai..

is like this..

Although..
the destination is far far away..
but with you my love..
it seems so close to me..

Our love needs no words..
and your eyes cannot hide your love for me..
that you were, you are and you will
always be with me by my side..

Never try to hide your tears
with a tinge of smile on your face..
i can read your eyes
which cannot hide your pain too..

She always pretends
to be upset with me..
because she knows that..
i am always there to convince her..

I truly and deeply love her..
always listens her..
promised her many things
which i'll never break..

Its like a punishment and torture
for both of us when we are not together..
because we both means
a world to each other..

Life is never easy but we have the courage
in our heart to make it simple..
and when you are with me..
i am afraid of nothing..

Just hold my hand and we'll be through
from all the problems and troubles..
and once through..
life will be full of happiness..

We'll share our ups and downs..
protecting you from every problems..
i'll take you
to a new world of love..

Just open your eyes
and try to listen..
somewhere far or near..
our dream home is calling us..

This one is the birthday song i wrote for the girl i love the most in my life. This song was my birthday gift to her. She has many dreams out of which one of her dream is that she wants to celebrate every birthday of her with me and with both of our family in our Sweet Home. I always pray to Waheguru ji that her dream come true. Not only this one but every dreams of her and i am always there to fulfill her dreams and fill her life with happiness. My life already turned out to be Special because She is the part of my Life. I am still waiting for that one Very Special Day when we will be together forever..

The actual song is in hindi but i am writing an english translation of it..

It was the day of happiness and every moment
from then onwards turned out so beautiful..
that happiness was clearly visible on the face
of her Papa ji, Mummy ji and Didi when
they were blessed by this sweet, loving angel..

From that very day, that beautiful angel
filled the home with her sweet voice..
her lovely voice spread the
sweet fragrance in the atmosphere..
her presence is like a wonder
and she is like a new life to her family..

Its again the very same day.. your birthday..
and my heart always sings for you..
i promise you that i'll never hurt your feelings,
pray to God that all your dreams come true
and may God bless you with my Life too..
when you smile my world seems to be heaven..

You are so simple.. so sweet..
and there is no one like you in this world..
i will always be there with you,
no matter what the situation is
and will fulfill all your dreams and
will fill your life with happiness..

It is again the day of happiness
and every moment is so beautiful..
Papa ji, Mummy ji and Didi are and will always be happy
because they are blessed by sweet, loving angel like you..

Sat Sri Akal.
