Re: No Smoking Zones at Stations- Western Railways
I don't know about India...but in the US "No Smoking Zone" means no one can smoke in this area. And a "Smoking Zone" is never labeled as such. Ergo....if you are standing on the cusp of the No Smoking Zone by default you are in the Smoking Zone. This may be a matter, not of semantics, but of idiomatic differences within the same language. India and the US on the same wave length. The focus on what you are forbidden, or where forbidden, rather than what you are permitted and where. At any rate you have me roflmao on the point of going to school.
p/s almost every public area, airports, all areas of all hotels, restaurants, office buildings, schools and universities, hospital campuses, parking lots, and more, now in the US are No Smoking Zones by local and state statutes. This is true even in states where tobacco is a major agricultural product. India may be next.
