Absolutely and that influence can be both positive and negative i.e uniting & dividing the society. The centuries of foreign invasion, misrule , persecutions had produced the greatest spiritual subjugation of the people of this land along with corruption by the selfishness of priests .This was the condition in which Baba Nanak found the Hindus of this land.What is of concern is when the spiritual aspects get interpreted / influenced.
Universal concept of SAT, Daya , Santokh , Nimrata has never been alien to this civilization. It has existed long before Sikhi came into existence .Sikhi is distinct and a path of Sach with Naam Simran.
Rituals are not unique to Hinduism .All Humans are ritualistic. It is a way in which culture transmit ideas over generations along with stories and symbols .Rituals binds the community .The rituals and other practices had no place in Sikhi
agreed ji, there are differences in hindu way of life, sikh way of life ,Jain & Buddhist .But one thing is for sure each way of life ,thought, expression , path no matter how different they may be are product of this land ,soilCultural commonality is fine as long as we are clear within of our path.
