Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Feteh

I Am Thankful
For my belief in Waheguru, My Family, My friends, because that means I have their support, and I am part of their life too.
For the wife who says it's khichri tonight, because she is home with me,
and not out with someone else.

For the husband who is on the sofa being a couch potato, because he is home
with me and not out at the bars.

For the teenager who is complaining about doing dishes because that means
she is at home, not on the streets.

For the taxes that I pay because it means that I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party because it means that I have been
surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to
eat.

For my shadow that watches me work because it means I am out in the
sunshine.

For a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that
need fixing because it means I have a home.

For all the complaining I hear about the government because it means that we
have freedom of speech.

For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it
means I am capable of walking and that I have been blessed with
transportation.

For my huge heating bill because it means I am warm.

For the lady behind me in church that sings off key because it means that I
can hear.

For the pile of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I
have been capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means that
I am alive.

Beautiful thoughts Khoji ji,

Life would be beautiful, if we could just count our blessings... unfortunately its the other way around... we always curse ourselves and near dear ones for our shortfalls and fail see through our blessings...

Thanks for sharing.

Best Regards

Good one :)

for a husband, I had seen another version though
Thank Him for the husband's irritating snoring, as he is not out of home with some other one!

2. for parents, brothers, sisters
3. professionally successful life
4. content and peace of mind
5. for all the kaam, krodh, lobh, moh and ahankaar

Khoji ji,

On the similar lines, I had read a few quotes as follows:
I asked for strength...
...and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.

I asked for wisdom...
...and God gave me problems to solve.

I asked for prosperity...
... and God gave me brains and brawn to work.

I asked for courage...
... and god gave me danger to overcome.

I asked for love...
...and God gave me troubled people to help.

Regards, Arvind.

I like reading this thread again and again.

Some more:

I Am Thankful For ...

The partner who hogs the covers every night, because he is not out with someone else.
The child who is not cleaning his room, but is watching TV, because that means he is at home and not on the streets.
For the taxes I pay, because it means I'm employed.
For the mess to clean after a party, because it means I have been surrounded by friends.
For the clothes that fit a little too snug, because it means I have enough to eat.
For my shadow that watches me work, because it means I am in the sunshine.
For a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing, because that means I have a home.

For my huge heating bill, because I am warm.
For the noisy sounds on the street, because that means I can hear.
For the pile of laundry and ironing, for it means I have clothes to wear.
For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day, for it means I have been capable of working hard.
For the alarm that goes off in the early morning, because it means I am alive.
And finally, for too much e-mail, because it means I have friends who are thinking of me.
