In this series of questions the Sidhs ask about the enlightenment of the intellect and the impacts of lack thereof.

Let us review the following,

Sidhas/Yogis ask:
Kubuḏẖ cẖavāvai so kiṯ ṯẖā▫e. Ki▫o ṯaṯ na būjẖai cẖotā kẖā▫e.
Where can one so remove so to rid of bad intellect? Why not understanding the essence, so be injured?
……
Guru Ji’s answers:
Jam ḏar bāḏẖe ko▫e na rākẖai. Bin sabḏai nāhī paṯ sākẖai.
Restrained at death’s door, no one can help. Without wisdom no honor, trust.
……
Ki▫o kar būjẖai pāvai pār. Nānak manmukẖ na bujẖai gavār. ||55||
How to discover, so as to cross over? Nanak, self willed fool cannot understand.

Kubuḏẖ mitai gur sabaḏ bīcẖār. Saṯgur bẖetai mokẖ ḏu▫ār.
Bad intellect erased through contemplation in wisdom of the creator. In benevolence of meeting the true creator, door of salvation.

Ŧaṯ na cẖīnai manmukẖ jal jā▫e. Ḏurmaṯ vicẖẖuṛ cẖotā kẖā▫e.
Not recognizing the essence, the self willed so burnt. Through bad intellect separates, suffers injuries.

Mānai hukam sabẖe guṇ gi▫ān. Nānak ḏargėh pāvai mān. ||56||
Accepting of the direction, all virtues and wisdom. Nanak, in final abode receives honor.
Guru ji peg the solution to the acquisition of wisdom. Guru ji state that it is negatively impacted by excessive self indulgence. Guru ji state that the focus needs to be the creator’s wisdom and creator’s benevolence coupled to such acquisition of wisdom.

The self willed get burnt and lead to bad intellect. The ultimate honor is received by those in consonance with creator’s dictum.

What you think?

Sat Sri Akal.
