The death toll in the communal clashes that hit Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh has climbed to 26. As the situation in the district continued to remain tense, a worried Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav asked the official to act tough while curfew was imposed in the riot-hit areas

Lewd remarks, cutting grass for cattle, refusal to remove garbage, even dog walking — anything can lead to a communal clash in Uttar Pradesh these days. The fallout — a benefit for the BJP.

The projection of Narendra Modi as the possible prime ministerial candidate of the party has polarised even rural areas, which had so far been immune. Any small incident is enough to ignite a major clash, and the administration is often caught napping. “And the situation in the communally sensitive districts is in a total flux,” said Asish Gupta, inspector general, crime. Police data shows how tension starts on minor issues.

The latest violence in Muzaffarnagar began with a lewd remark at a girl.

Shamli witnessed violence after a sweeper refused to remove garbage. Lately, a physically challenged boy entered the religious place of another community leading to a fight.

In Sultanpur district, a clash began over a blaring loudspeaker.

Even constructive matters can lead to destruction: Riots began in Bahriach district when members of one community tried to build a road.

The RSS cadre has been in an overdrive, especially in the communally sensitive western Uttar Pradesh, picking cow slaughter as an issue to mobilise the majority community. On Sunday, the VHP coined a new slogan — namazwadi sarkar — to slam the Samajwadi Party government. As if on cue, the RSS leaders in the state started circulating an SMS, which described Modi as the “popular choice”. The RSS is expected to go full throttle till Modi arrives to address a series of strategically timed rallies in the state, said a party source.

BJP Campaign straetegy to WIN is SIMPLE....DRIVE all MUSLIM VOTES AWAY FROM CONGRESS...if these Muslims get scared and vote REGIONAL Parties like Samajvadee Party etc..and NOT Congress...then Congress will not have enough seats to win in DELHI..

The Huge Muslim Vote bank was traditionally CONGRESS...giving them nay seats..and defeating BJP dreams in DELHI...HINDU Votes go to BJP as bLOCK..and in punjab Badal will give away the SIKH VOTE too...and to make sure of the HINDU votes just in case..the BJP will bring up the ANTI_SIKH elements..and babari masjid issues etc etc..
The MINORITIES..are being asked to GET WHACKED and yet remain SILENT...

Samajwadee party always supported congress in 2008 they saved UPA-1 , even now when many allies left UPA-2 they are the one holding it from falling.

As far riots are concerned they are the future of India and result of what what the leaders of 1947 sowed. Muslim population is growing at fast rate and this will result in riots in many places of India. No party can stop it

Stalker's death triggered Muzaffarnagar conflagration

Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), Sep 9 (IANS) Two brothers kill a man stalking their sister and the stalker's family kills both of them. It was a revenge killing that triggered sectarian violence in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district that has left 28 people dead.
On Aug 27, two brothers of a girl were beaten to death when they went to talk to the family of a stalker who was stabbed to death by them in Kawaal village.
Sources said police registered the first information report (FIR) against the parents of the girl who were not present on the spot.
The inclusion of parents' names in the FIR did not go down well with the majority community of the area, following which the sympathizers of the girl's family announced a panchayat in Kawaal Aug 31. The rival community opposed the plan.
Opposing the Kawaal panchayat, a parallel panchayat was planned in Khalapar area of the city. At this, the government representatives, including members of parliament and state legislature, and local leaders dared the Kawaal panchayat organisers to hold it at the appointed time on Aug 31.
The authorities concerned then assured the angered locals the Khalapar panchayat would be put on hold, and the civil administration after deliberations with the Bhartiya Kisan Union leaders Rakesh and Naresh Tikait announced that the scheduled panchayat had been postponed.
A huge gathering of about 40,000 people turned out but the Kawaal panchayat organizers called off the proceedings and announced the assembly again Sep 7. But when the participants of the - 'Beti Bachao Bahoo Bachao panchayat' - were returning to their homes they were attacked by swords at Basi village under Shahpur police station.
The police booked under the National Security Act (NSA) eight people, of whom seven people were from the majority community and one person was from the minority community.
The riot quickly spread to the neighbouring areas falling under Shamli and Meerut districts.
On Sunday, 48 injured people were admitted at district hospital.
The dead include two people -- one of them a photo-journalist -- who were killed in Khalapar, four killed in Bhopa, two killed in Mansurpur and one killed in Sikeda village. In addition, three people were killed in Kawaal and three people were also killed in Kutba village of the area.
"The administration has put the adjoining districts of Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr on high alert...," IG (Meerut Zone) Brij Bhushan told IANS.

Having its OWN seats is not the same as "outsider support" from Maulam yadav or samajvadees etc etc...SUCH types make for WEAK GOVTS..as the UPA has been all this while !!! Sometiems the DMK threaten to pull out and other times some one else...Sad badal also supports BJP center Govt..does this eman BJP will give away the Punjab seats in total to Badal ?? No they wnat their own seats..and mORE...thus ERODING CONGRESS POWER..this is the WAY....drive away the muslims and other minorities away...and make sure Congress wins the LEAST SEATS...so it wont be asked to form the Govt..or cannot appoint the PM !! Simple as THAT....No oen else cna CHALLENGE MODI/BJP..except the Congress !!!
