Sat Sri Akaal,

Jhim Jhim Varsae Amrit Dhara
Mann pivey sun shabad vichara.

Amrit for sure means the realsed essence of Gurus Bani which connects mind to immortal truths of life
But ritual of Amrit connects with holy water.
When one was supposed to connect with never dying utterance of Gurus Bani word, ritual is taking away from the cause.

Is it tempered to distract or the right way.

Please educate on rituals. How it come in.place, as there is a feel that it devoids cause.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa
Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

The way that Amrit is done today - is this the way that Guru Gobind Singh envisioned?

The guru didn't invent the rituals of SihkIsm, they invented the ceremonies, it was manmukhs that turned them into rituals.

Nope, He just started an Oath Taking ceramony ( similar to the one you'd take while marrying, or like any soldier would take before joining the army )
But as the time passed and our people got corrupted, It became Sikhi...... Now If So called Sikhs see someone arguing abt sikhi without a KIRPAAN/GAATRA on their body, They dont even validate their point.

THIS IS MY CURRENT UNDERSTANDING OF SIKHI, FEEL FREE TO PROVE ME WRONG CUZ SIKHI IS ALWAYS LEARNING AND I WONT REJECT ANY STRONG ARGUMENT, IF IT HAS ANY LOGIC BEHIND IT.

Sat Sri Akaal,

After taking oath, and getting initiated, if one fails to comply,
than,
is there a formal discipline to be followed,
and
if not followed, what steps are there,
or
the first chapter is there and rest of chapters are lost content.
