Such extravagant celebrations for Bandi Chor Divas!!!
Big fireworks!!!
Grand Display!!
There are many occasions that deserve such Grand celebrations why isn't there big celebrations for every one of these events

Why did we choose the 1 Hindu Holiday. Diwali/Bandi Chor Divas
Other than that
The only other big event celebrated is Viasakhi

Obviously the main Big Gudwar-Eh celebrate all Gur Gadi Divas..ect

Why don't we publicly celebrate other grand displays and achievements by our Guru's equally??

Grand Displays like:

Why don't we celebrate the day Guru Tegh Bahadur, humbled the most powerful witches of Assam?
In which Gurdwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib was established in the
Dhubri town on the bank of the Brahmaputra River in Assam, India.

Guru Tegh Bahadur ji's proved the miracle of Such-E-Na-o Jaap
We should have Grand celebrations on this day aswell!!!!

Why don't we celebrate the day
Hazrat Shah Wali Qandhari was Humbled by Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj

When Guru Nanaks Dev ji Maharaj Single handedly stopped a cliff size rock with 1 hand!
We should have Grand celebrations on this day aswell!!!!

Gurdwara Panja Sahib Sarovar

Why don't we have big celebrations for Dec 29 (1705)
Celebrating Chali Mukteh and Mai Bhago. Helping saved Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.
Forcing the retreat of 10 000 mughal solders?

We should have Grand celebrations on this day As well!!!!

GRAND FIREWORKS CELEBRATION!!

There are many more occasions to be celebrated!!

Are we intentionally bitter regarding Hindus to such a extent that we resort to Muslim style provocation & impediment.
To such extent that we highlight our 1 Gurus miracle above all other Guru's

O- vi Diwali da Deen kar ke!
Una-ne chud-E- ah se
Shri Guru Hargobind ji Maharaj nu

This doesn't make sense to Ji

ISNT THIS THE BRITISH MOTO
DIVIDE AND CONQUER

To my mind Sikhs celebrate Bandi Chhod Diwas with great zeal to show that they are different from Hindus and a separate Kaum though this event could be better celebrated in all those states whose Rajas were got released by Guru Hargobind Sahib but whose names are not known even now since no deep research has been done on this aspect.

Absolutely,

Yet it also distributes unequal attention upon one Guru over the others. This is not the philosophy of Ek Om-Kar

Why isn't others Guru's accomplishments celebrated like Guru Hargobind Dev Ji Maharajs accomplishments?

The Return of Guru Nanaks Odasi's.
How about some of these events i mentioned above.

Why isn't there such excitement? Big celebrations!!

Guru Nanak Dev Ji stopping a rock the weight of a few thousand kilos. Merely with one hand?
Thats a huge celebration!!

Guru Tegh Bahadur, redirecting a stone flying in the air mere few thousand kilo stone & Tree. Preventing themselves and the entire sangath from dieing!!

They also shut down the 3 biggest witches of Assam peacefully!! Why isn't there such a big celebrations on this date!

Baba Deep Singh Maharaj needs just as big of a celebration. Although there Head was cut off!!!
They still won!!
This should be a major celebration in Sikhi!!

There are many more!!

This would , Diwali and Bandi Chor Divas are to be celebrated together for Sikhs. A true Sikh shouldn't ignore Diwali thats not the philosophy of Ek Om-Kar.

Otherwise
We need to clarify we don't celebrate Sikh Holidays other than Viasakhi.

Otherwise we must celebrate all grand Displays in Sikhi equally. If we do not, we are disrespecting The philosophy of Ek Om-Kar

We have to differentiate events relating to the Gurus and Sikhs. Also among Guru he events which have been creating global impact to be given priority.

Guru Nanak's teaching and Gurbani priority since he is considered as the originator of Sikh faith.
Guru Gobind Singh's Khalsa saajana is the next event.
The martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Guru Gobind Singh come next.
Births and Jyoti jot of all Gurus come next.
establishment of Harmandar Sahib
Martyrdom of sahbzadas comes next to that.

This is an arbitrary priority which can be discussed in detail and laid out as such

Beautiful!
Also there should be events thats increases "moral" (up lifting celebrations)
Like great Displays of Excellence!! This is very important.

Grand celebrations should be those events, where just thinking of the events creates
Char Di Kala energy in the majority of masses.
Including office workers, physical workers & your average motherly Women..ect.

Especially for the up and coming generations when alot of our events is Martyrdom focus. Its hard to celebrate with enthusiasm!!

We are in a era of Bram Gain Veero atey Veer ji.
We have to understand a majority of our population is 9-5 everyday working.
To be honest the toll of martyrdom takes a
mal (opposite, negative) effect to this generation! Who live in a bubble of electronic age!!

With all due respect. I am a warrior. I Train, for us Maha Bal Sura's. This is normal,
we celebrate death as a passing into a next face. This brings us Char di Kala!!

In today's age where Shastar Vidya is lost and folks are Jumping up and down in a skit of a dance called Gatka which was created by the British to showcase the display.

We are not in the age of Maha Bal Sura's!

Mourning a defeat. Isn't a celebration! It is Mourning!
Very few people seldom celebrate death! In a positive manner. It is a loss.
A loss should not be celebrated!!
It should be a day of Waheguru Simran!
Which is the most essential thing of Sikhism!

This way our generation understands Waheguru Simrans important aspects!
It also doesn't leave a hole in there heart!

Grand celebrations should be those events where just thinking of the events creates
Char Di Kala energy in the majority of masses.
Including office workers, physical workers & your average motherly Woman..ect.

Totally agree , to me Diwali , Christmas , Halloween .. all come with joyful and fun activities and i dont mind participating in them with my neighbors and friends. At the same time on Diwali doing these extravagances in gurdwaras , reciting Diwali related Shabads in Gurdwaras , Fireworks .. that to me atleast does not make sense. There are far more significant events as mentioned above which should be Enlighted.
