Ludhiana, March 4
Miscreants ransacked the parental house of Manvinder Singh, a whistle-blower in the Hond Chillar village massacre, in which several Sikhs were killed during 1984.

Narrating the incident, Gurmail Singh, the father of Manvinder, who resides in Gyaspura village, said the incident took place in his absence. He said that he along with his wife was visiting Gurgaon to meet their son.

Gurmail said on returning home, he was shocked to see the house ransacked.

The miscreants smashed everything lying in the house and even tore the literature kept there.

In the meantime, the police has started an investigation.

I am very sorry that people and media are acting so naive about such incidents.

You got to understand the politics of power in India over the decades (Congress Party). Then you need to couple it to the privilege of the ruling party to promote and make local law enforcement (Police) appointments. This is Catch-22 and you ain't going to get anything out of any investigation (the investigators-culprits look the same in the mirror). For a few thousand rupees people use "thugs", common criminals and off duty police to achieve their objectives. These tactics were vastly deployed post-1984 in Punjab too to kill and torture thousands of young Sikhs. This happened with the Congress Party-Police collective. Many of the activities happened through Congress encouraged and supported Police in Punjab.

Do not expect any justice in the near or long term in Haryana or anywhere outside of Punjab where the officers are much likely to be non-Sikhs with no care for common level Sikhism or Sikhs. Lot of opportunistic politicking is all you are going to get.

Sikhs need to wake up and make some lead determinations like,

  • "One is Khalsa" and "Khalsa is One", let there be Zero Tolerance for Intimidation of any Sikhs anywhere in the world

  • Create the equivalent of RSS working within the law but standing up to,
    • Intimidation of any Sikhs
    • Sikh religious places desecration
    • Desecration by Babeys, et al, of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and our Gurus
  • Khalsa is too dis-organized to expect or receive any respect
    • Respect is earned and not given free
    • 1984 was an incident to forever change the status of Sikhism in India
      • Future will not be positive without accountability of Sikhs own institutions like SGPC and the like that need to be held accountable beyond supporting Akali Dal party
Sorry about less than positive assessment but that is how I see it.

Sat Sri Akal.
