Jul 6, 2013
University of Waterloo Sikh Student Association celebrated the Canada Day Turban Way by crowning students and staff with red and white turbans. Fact sheets on Sikh philosophy and the importance of Turbans were distributed and a presentation depicting the Sikh values of equality, justice and community and how they match with Canadian values was shown. Thanks a lot. We were inspired by your suggestion. As such, in association with local Sangat, the Sikhs Student Association, University of Waterloo, organized a Dastar parade in the Kitchener Gurudwara Sahib during the annual Sport's day, today, Aug. 11. About 100 kids aging from 2 years to 18 years took part. First they crowned themselves with the Guru's gift and then took part in a parade around the ground. Enjoy the first set of pictures.

This is a beautiful display. I wish there were some way to flash it on the home page. Our spot can do only 1 pic at a time.

But thank you!
