Under 19 Sikh Cricketers

Apr 4, 2005
Under 19 cricket world cup is going on but this time new talent of emerging sikh cricketers are playing in it ,not only for India but also for Australia and New zealand

1)Harmeet Singh

On 20th August India was playing against Pakistan in quarter final.India required 137
and they were chasing comfortably with 120/5 when suddenly Pakistan bounced back and India was reduced to 127/9 with Harmeet standing with 11th batsman Sandeep Sharma. It looked like a matter of time when the last wicket fall. For cricket fans like me it was a very sad moment but then a miracle happened .Harmeet along with his partner played a miraculous innings
in which they both too 7 overs to score 10 runs.Harmeet even shielded his partner from Fast Pakistani bowlers so they can finish their quota.Showing so much of mental strength at 19 year of age is something really great

here is detailed analsys of that

2) Gurinder Sandhu

The 6 feet 5 inches tall fast bowler is playing for Australia. Not only he is quite fast according to his age he is also very impressive .In country like Australia where Fast bowlers are produced in wholesale becoming a a premier fast bowler for their side is really a great acheivement

3 Ish Sodhi

A leg spinner and Batsman. This guy like Harmeet also did miracle in Quarter final when New zealand require 12 runs of last 3 ***** .He hit a 6,2 and 4 to take NZ through semi final

On 26 August Final will be played against India and Australia. No matter who will win all these U-19 Sikh cricketers are winners
