Groups of Sikhs have started gathering around the East London and Ilford Gurdwaras to provide protection as there have been elements of mob disorder in East Ham, Ilford and Romford. There are confirmed reports of Gurdwara Singh Sabha Barking being attacked earlier today by bricks and other materials. The Police intervened straight away in the incident with the mob quickly moved on by the Police. There are now groups of Singhs gathering around the following Gurudwaras to provide security: Gurdwara Dasmesh Darbar Manor Park, Gurdwara Karamsar Ilford, Gurdwara Singh Sabha Barking, Gurdwara Singh Sabha Seven Kings and Mata Sahib Kaur Academy Newbury Park as well as other Gurdwaras in affected areas.
