India..
Dear friends,

I am referring to 'Katha' of Late Gyani Maskeen ji [relayed in the evening at etc. Punjabi channel on 29/30/31 May 2007] in which Gyani ji stated that before this creation came into being there was only Mist and fog.
He uttered one word 'Ong' and the entire universe was created alongwith this the five elements.

Is this 'Ong ' the same as we refer to in 'Ik Ongkar'? Someone of you might share knowledge on this subject as this line of thinking is not know to us.

Regards

In My opinion it is the first word uttered by The Almighty HImself. However, if one does not believe in it will it matter.? For your kind and valuable opinion.

The big bang theory which has been discovered just lately has already been mentioned in the SGGS (I request someone to find the exact verse in the SGGS and let me know) by Guru Nanak Devji.

In essence Nanak mentions that indeed there is one hymn that is constantly ringing in the universe, the ‘Onkar’ hymn.

The universe was created with a big bang, after which the hot upper crust of our freshly created planet cooled down and transformed into hard rock which further broke down into stones.

STONES were the first life on earth. They had a soul but is was completely asleep, and physically they were incapable of anything. Ordinary stones evolved to precious stones like HEERA, PANNA etc.

Through years and years of evolution these precious STONES evolved into VANASPATI (plants) which were physically capable of making there own food and even move a little (as has been known) but you can say that they were physically limited. They had a soul which could feel pain, the changing weather patterns and so on. So the soul had awakened a little. Ordinary plants and foliage evolved into grand plants like the Banyan, Tulsi etc. which were grand enough to be worshipped.

This grand VANASPATI evolved into ANIMAL life which had very advanced physical capabilities and their soul could feel sentiments like pain, detachment, sorrow, happiness etc more deeply. Their soul had awakened further but only to the limit of satisfying their own needs like hunger, shelter etc. They could only think about themselves. They lived and survived on the a physical level. Ordinary animal species evolved into grander species like the Lion, Elephant, Cow (which was grand enough to be worshipped).

These grand ANIMALS evolved into the HUMAN BEING, a being whose physical capabilities were as enhanced than animals if not more, but most importantly who had a soul which was fully awakened to it’s surroundings and it could respond to innumerable stimuli.

According to SGGS the HUMAN BEING stands at the crossroads.
GOING FORWARD – This is the process of following our Guru’s teachings, letting go of AHANKAR and MOH of the MAYA, doing NAAM-SIMRAN, and gradually achieves the enjoin of the AATMA with the PARAMAATMA. Then the HUMAN BEING becomes as THE SUPREME BEING and his soul breaks the shackles of birth and death and becomes free. But this is possible only if such an occurrence has already been granted to you based on your previous Karma.
GOING BACKWARD – This is the process of going in the opposite direction to the one preached in the SGGS. The HUMAN BEING can desecrate his soul and spirit so low that his rebirth would be destined as an ANIMAL.
GOING RIGHT – If the HUMAN BEING despite following the Guru’s teachings is not able to achieve the ultimate enjoin of his AATMA with the PARAMATMA, then upon death of such an HUMAN BEING his soul shall have to again be born as an HUMAN BEING to achieve the final freedom. Until then such souls mostly throng religious places where God’s name is said.
GOING LEFT – If a HUMAN BEING lives a normal wordly life but has not done anything spiritually, then after death the souls of such HUMAN BEINGS are reborn time and time again till they become capable of going forward spiritually. Until then such souls mostly throng places like bars, discos, brothels etc.

So been an HUMAN BEING is an opportunity to be able to achieve the SUPREME BEING. This opportunity is only available to HUMANS because this physical body is necessary to be able to achieve the ultimate enjoin. As SGGS quotes : ‘IIS DEHI KO SIMRE DEV’

These thoughts are courtesy GIANI SANT SINGH JI MASKEEN’S katha on the above subject, which is one of my favourite Gurbani Vichar. I request you Gursikhs to find out the verses in the SGGS those reflect the above Vichar, and please let me know.

WALKING THE PATH OF THE SPIRIT

GURUBANI PREACHES ONLY THE SPIRITUAL PATH FOR EACH SOUL, AND THE WRONGS AND RIGHTS REQUIRED FOR DOCKING OUR SOUL ON TO THE TRACK OF THIS SPIRITUAL PATH.

THE WHOLE JOURNEY OF GETTING DETACHED FROM THE PARAMAATMA AND GOING THE WHOLE CIRCLE BACK INTO THE ORIGIN, IS ACTUALLY OF OUR SOUL (AATMA-WHICH IS A PART, ANSH OF THE PARAMAATMA), AND THIS PHYSICAL BODY GIVEN TO US BY ALMIGHTY IS ONLY AN UTENSIL TO HOLD OUR SOUL AND CARRY IT THROUGH SAFELY DURING THIS PART OF OUR JOURNEY.

BUT THIS PATH IS ARDOUS. SO ARDOUS THAT JUST IMAGINE THE DIFFICULTY A SUNRAY WOULD FACE REVERSING IT’S PATH AND TRY TO GO ALL THE WAY BACK INTO THE SUN FROM WHERE IT HAS ORIGINATED, OR, A RAINDROP TO GO BACK INTO THE CLOUD FROM WHERE IT IS ORIGINALLY FROM.

LET US CONCENTRATE ON THE RAINDROP, WHICH HAS TWO WAYS OF COMPLETING IT’S JOURNEY. EITHER IT TRAVELS THE NATURAL PATH OF THE RAIN-CYCLE, OR, IT BURNS ITSELF (EVAPORATES) AND JOINS AS VAPOUR TO IT’S MOTHER CLOUD, AND THUS SAVES ITSELF FROM THE BACK-BREAKING EXPERIENCE OF TRAVELLING THE WHOLE RAIN-CYCLE AND THE PAINFUL OBSTACLES IT MAY ENCOUNTER ON THE WAY.

SIMILARLY WE WHO HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH THIS HUMAN BIRTH-LIFE HAVE TWO OPTIONS :- EITHER WE MAKE OUR SOUL TRAVEL THE WHOLE GAMUT OF INNUMERABLE LIVES, LIFE AFTER LIFE AND ENCOUNTER THE OVERWHELMING SORROWS ASSOCIATED WITH EACH LIFE, OR, WE USE OUR PRESENT LIFE TO BURN OUR MAAN (MIND-FULL OF ALL THE SINS PERFORMED IN ALL THE PRECEDING LIVES), AND FREE OUR SOUL TO FLY BACK AND JOIN ITSELF WITH THE PARAMAATMA, THUS COMPLETING THE JOURNEY FOR WHICH IT HAD ORIGINALLY SET FORTH AFTER BEING DETACHED FROM THE SUPREME SOUL.

ALAS MOST OF US OUR LIVING OUR LIVES ONLY ON A PHYSICAL PLATFORM. WE ARE INTERESTED IN ONLY THOSE THINGS THAT WILL GIVE OUR PHYSICAL BODY THE MOST MATERIALISTIC COMFORT. WE ATTACH OURSLEVES TO ALL THESE SHINY MATERIALS AROUND US, SO MUCH SO THAT THEY BECOME THE REASON FOR ALL OUR SORROWS, BECAUSE WE CAN’T HANDLE THE PAIN ASSOCIATED WITH HAVING TO LOOSE THEM. FOR EXAMPLE WE ATTACH OURSELVES SO MUCH WITH OUR FAMILY (OUR BETTER HALF, KIDS). WE FOOL OTHERS TO FILL OUR COFFERS SO THAT OUR FAMILY CAN BE COMFORTABLE. BUT WE FORGET THAT ONE DAY DEATH IS GOING TO SNATCH US FROM OUR FAMILIES, AND WHEN THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENS, WE ARE OVERWHELMED BY THIS SORROW OF LOSS ALL OUR LIVES.

WHY DON’T WE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS PHYSICAL BODY OF OURS IS GOING TO BE LEFT BEHIND, AND ONLY THE SPIRIT IS GOING TO TRAVEL FURTHER ?
THEN WHY DO WE STILL LOOK FOR PHYSICAL COMFORT RATHER THAN SPENDING OUR LIVES IN PURSUIT OF SPIRITUAL COMFORT ?

HEREIN COMES THE IMPORTANCE OF GURUBANI. INFACT WE SHOULD CONSIDER OURSELVES THE LUCKIEST ONES ALIVE TO HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH THE BIRTH OF A SIKH, BECAUSE THE GIFT OF GURUBANI HANDED TO US ON A PLATTER, IF PARTAKEN WILL BE THE IDEAL FOOD FOR OUR SOUL TO TRAVEL THE SPIRITUAL PATH TOWARDS THE SUPREME SOUL.

HOW FAR BACK WE ARE LAGGING SPIRITUALLY :

ALL THROUGH OUR PHYSICAL LIFE PARMATMA (THE PARAM AATMA) IS WITH US (INSIDE US) AND WE JUST DO NOT STRIVE TO FEEL IT’S PRESENCE, WITH THE RESULT THAT IN THE AFTERLIFE WHEN OUR AATMA NEEDS THE PARAM AATMA MOST, THERE IS NO SUPPORT PROVIDED.

OUR MAAN IS NOTHING BUT A COLLECTION OF ALL THE PAAPS THAT HAVE ACCUMULATED GOING FROM ONE LIFE TO ANOTHER, AND IT IS THE CULPRIT WHICH HAS ENGULFED OUR AATMA, AND CUT OFF IT’S CONNECTION FROM THE PARAM AATMA.

CONSIDER EACH SINGLE UTTERANCE OF NAAM (SIMRAN) WHICH ACTUALLY IS BEEN RECEIVED BACK BY OUR EARS, AND THROUGH THEM IS ENTERING OUR INNER BEING.
CONSIDER EACH SUCH UTTERANCE AS ONE HIT SCORED ON OUR MAAN ,or, MIND, AND LET US ASSUME THAT ONE SUCH HIT IS KILLING ONE PAAP (AMONG COUNTLESS ACCUMULATING IN OUR MAAN AS IT GOES FROM ONE LIFE TO ANOTHER FOR WE DO NOT KNOW HOW MANY LIVES, AS KABEER SAYS “AISE GHAR HAM BAHUT BASAYE, JAB HUM RAAM GARABH SYUN AAYE”).

NOW ACCORDING TO THE CENTRAL THEME OF OUR RELIGION, THE MORE HITS OF NAAM YOU SCORE ON YOUR MAAN, THE MORE PURIFIED IT BECOMES, AND THE MORE YOUR MAAN GETS IMMUNED FROM DUKH, SANTAAP. THE BIGGEST DUKH IS TO BE BORN AGAIN AND AGAIN.

JUST IMAGINE HOW MANY SUCH HITS WE SHALL NEED TO OBLITERATE ALL THE PAAPS STORED IN OUR MAAN, UNTIL THE FINAL HIT WHEN “PRABH KE SIMRAN GARABH NA BASE” i.e. OUR MAAN IS DELETED AND OUR AATMA BECOMES PART OF THE PARAM AATMA (WHOSE “AANSH” IT WAS ORIGINALLY, AND FROM WHICH IT HAD BROKEN OFF), AND BREAKS OFF FROM THIS BIRTH-DEATH CIRCLE.

NOW WE SPEND OUR WHOLE LIFE SPEAKING,SPEAKING…. AND SPEAKING, AND NEVER HEAR TO WHAT WE SAY, WHEREAS THE ONE AND ONLY THING THAT MATCHES OUR FREQUENCY WITH THAT OF THE SUPREME LORD IS HEARING, HEARING…. AND HEARING. JUST THINK OF HOW MANY TIMES WE HAVE DONE PATH, SIMRAN IN OUR LIVES TO DATE, AND JUST THINK OF HOW MANY TIMES OUR MAAN (THROUGH OUR EARS) HAS ACTUALLY HEARD THE RECITAL - NEGLIGIBLE.

WE ALSO SPEND OUR WHOLE LIFE RUNNING AFTER THINGS THAT ARE NEVER GOING TO BE OURS FOR EVER, AS THE SUPREME DUKH “DEATH” IS GOING TO INTERVENE, BUT STILL WE RUN, AND IN THE PROCESS KEEP COMMITING AND ACCUMULATING OUR BAG OF SINS. THE ONLY ASSET THAT IS GOING TO BE CARRIED OVER INTO THE AFTERLIFE IS THE AMOUNT OF FULL ALERT NAAM YOU HAVE RECITED IN YOUR PRESENT LIFE.

WE JUST DO NOT HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT THE MEANING OF OUR LIFE REALLY IS, AND THAT IS TO CONSTANTLY BE IMMERSED IN THE NAAM. “HAR UDDAM ME WOH UDDAM BHALA, HAR KA NAAM JAPE JIYO SADA”.

Ong Meaning Expolred

Now, as far as what is "really real," please remember "What is the very first word of Siri Guru Granth Sahib?" (This is the very first word of Japji Sahib, also. It is the very first thing that Guru Nanak spoke as Guru.) It is a very beautiful word, and for our relative minds, it is also a great sticking point. This word is "Ek," which means "ONE." He said Ek Ong Kar, which means "All of the phenomena and manifestations which we experience, all that we have ever experienced and EVER will experience," ALL these manifestations come from ONE, infinite Source ("Ong")."

Infinity is universal, one and the same with itself. But it affects us relative human beings in various ways: the aspect of Infinity that produces or generates everything that manifests we call Ek Ong Kar. The same Infinity that holds the ultimate, Identity and non-dualistic meaning of all this is called Truth, or Sat Nam. Finally, the awareness aspect of Infinity that experiences and understands the ultimate wisdom of all this is called Wahe Guru ("Absolute Wisdom"). And, there is a little song that a Sikh once wrote which says:

"Ek Ong Kar is what you are,
"Sat Nam is what you'll be,
"And your Siri Wahe Guru,
"Is all you'll ever need say or do."

Realizing the meaning of that song, in one's own life, is the life of a Sikh, and it is the fulfillment of everything that humanity has been searching for, for aeons (millions, and millions, and millions of years, throughout the all the universes and worlds).

Hope Dear Prithipal singh ji, it shall be Of some help. Let us continue to make research. I shall shortly post the exposition of " om' that is so poerful word Of Hindus.

Respected Pritpal_Singh Ji,

many thanks for the beautiful post.

JUST THINK OF HOW MANY TIMES WE HAVE DONE PATH, SIMRAN IN OUR LIVES TO DATE, AND JUST THINK OF HOW MANY TIMES OUR MAAN (THROUGH OUR EARS) HAS ACTUALLY HEARD THE RECITAL - NEGLIGIBLE.

so true, this is the major thing. we need to listen to Gurbani attentively and then follow what it is teaching us- LIVING THE TRUTH TRUTHFULLY-This is the real seva. Guru's Word has to become our way of life.

The topic and your reply are unrelated.
The matter discussed is if the first word uttered is 'ekong' or'ong' and not the owrd of Sri. Guru Granth sahib ji.

Thanks for reply.

EK ONG KAR is represented here in the ancient Gurmuki language. Ek Ong Kar means “There is one God that created all of creation”. Historically these were the first three words spoken by Guru Nanak, a saintly man of universal consciousness, after he came out of a state of Samadhi (one-ness with the universe and creation) for three days. His words became the Japji and Ek Ong Kar makes up the first line of this sacred text. Guru Nanak delivered to the world universal teachings that are available to anyone regardless of race, creed, religion, cast, or social status.

[There is a small write up at the above site. WE are on look out for such kind of origin.] :advocate:

On “OM”

Of all the sacred sounds on this planet, the one that is most often chanted is the “OM”. Undoubtedly, at any given moment, there is someone, somewhere chanting this sacred mantra. The “OM ” is considered one of the oldest vocal sounds in existence—many speculate that it has been chanted for untold thousands of years.

It is considered to be the original, primordial sound—the mantra of creation.
OM is a mantra from the Hindu tradition. OM is a Sanskrit word, which is said to be the original primordial creative sound from which the universe and all of creation first manifested. While pronounced “OM”, certain Sanskrit scholars state that it is written as “AUM”. Many consider the two words to be interchangeable because of this. OM is said to be the sound that contains all sounds--it is the totality of all other sounds.

Swami Sivananda Radha says, “The cosmic sound AUM, or its condensed form, OM, is the origin of all other sound. OM is everything. It is the name of God.

OM is a multi-dimensional sound, and as such, may be understood a number of different ways. One understanding is that OM (or it’s written form “AUM”) represents attributes of the major trinity of Hindu gods; Brahman, Vishnu and Shiva. The sounding of the “A” represents the energy of Brahman, the creator and the creational process. The middle portion of the sound, the “U” represents the energy of Vishnu, the preserver and relates to the maintenance and preservation of what has been created. The final “M” represents the energy of Shiva, the transformer and relates to the vital transformational energy to shift and change that which has been created and preserved.

Another understanding of the OM (or “AUM”) is that the “A” represents the physical plane, the “U” the “mental and astral planes” and the “M, all that is beyond the reach of the intellect. “AUM” or OM is the initial syllable, which begins almost all mantras. Thus OM represents the Infinite, the One Mind, the all embracing consciousness—that which is the very essence of existence.

In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the OM (“AUM”) represents different aspects of the trinity of the Body, Speech and Mind of the Buddha, or an enlightened being. The “A” represents the Body, the “U” represents Speech, and the “M” represents the Mind. Sounding the AUM in this manner puts one in resonance with these qualities of consciousness.

The OM is a Bija (or “seed”) mantra and may be utilized to resonate the third eye. However, it may also be chanted as a 3 syllable word “AUM” (and pronounced as “AH – OH - MMM”) to resonate the heart, the throat and the crown chakras. In fact, the OM can, through our intent, become a multi-purpose mantra with capabilities of resonating and aligning all the chakras—of cleansing imbalanced energies and purifying self. Sung with sincerity and devotion, vocalization of the OM can put the chanter in touch with the source of all creation, providing a bridge between the spiritual and physical dimensions and opening the way for inspirational contact with higher realms and beings.

Many people ask if there is indeed a correct pronunciation for the OM. Is it “OM” or “AUM” or something else? In reality, there does not seem to be a correct pronunciation. Depending upon the country, language and dialect, the OM can be pronounced “AUM, UM, UNG, ANG, ONG” and so on. Yet, the resonance and effects of this mantra seem to be very similar despite varied differences in pronunciation. Much depends upon the intention of the person creating the sound—where do they wish the “OM” to resonate—which chakra and for what purpose. .

OM as a sound symbolizes the supreme source. To many, the sound of OM is synonymous with the energy of peace. OM may be found as the root of many sacred words of different languages including our western “Amen” and the Hebrew “Shalom”, which has many meanings including “peace”. The OM initiates peace and tranquility when it is listened to, and particularly when it is chanted.

Healing Sounds - Planetary Healing Sounds

I am sure that there would have been some study conducted by Sikhs intellengesia. If anyone has some informatiuon that may be shared.

As the matter shall be Of contemporary interest I am posting it for the benefit Of the members. The Sikh Mantras also appear in the article. However, the sole idea is to find out the first word uttered by HIm while creating the entire creation.

Mantras

On this page I have collected together Mantras used for chanting and meditation, from various traditions.
Japa Yoga

The following techniques are types of Japa Yoga, or repetition. A string of beads (or Mala, typically numbering 108 beads), is often used to assist counting repetitions.

Vaikhari - loud repetition, eg Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.
Upamshu - repetition, hummed or whispered.
Manasika - repetition, repeated mentally.
Likhita - written in large letters, and repeated mentally (eg Om Nama Shivaya).
Ajapa - circulation of pranic energy (as in Kriya Yoga).
Mantra meditation

Focusing the mind on external or internal sound, chanting externally in internally. May be a single sound (such as Om), word, or phrase (Om mane padme hum, Om Siva Namaya). Gregorian chant is a form of Mantra meditation. CW Leadbeater "The Master and The Path" describes 5 main types of Mantras:
  1. Those that work simply by faith (analagous to applying a Dock leaf to a nettle sting)
  2. Those that work by association (eg the National Anthem)
  3. Those that work by agreement or covenant (eg the Christian "This Is My Body", which evokes Angelic assistance)
  4. Those that work by their meaning - repetition gives power to the words impressing upon the mind and mental body. Blessings given by a Priest fall into this category.
  5. Those that work by their sound (without meaning, eg Om, the powerful seed mantras)
These mantras were sourced from Joshua David Stone "The Complete Ascension Manual" chapter 24.

Buddhist Mantras
Om Mane Padme Hung Om - salutations to The Jewel of Consciousness (the mind) which has reached the heart's lotus
Om Ah Hum Soha - basis of many tantric mantras. OM, AH, HUM represents the three bodies of Buddha. Where OM, is the universe, the universal, the all-encompassing, the uncreated, the unchanging. The "mind" of the Universe. The original nature of Buddha. Where is AH, is the Truth embodied, the Word and "speech" of the Universe or Dharma. HUM is the fruition, and refers to physical manifestations i.e. the "body" of the Universe or Sangha. Soha - amen, so let it be.
Padme Siddhi Hum (Come to me, O Lotus Power)
Buddha, or Bud-ho (used in same way as So Ham, Haung Sau breath mantras)
Quan Yin, Avalokitesvara, Chenrazee
Sanskrit seed sounds are also used commonly. Here is where they come from. Om (or Aum) is made up of the sounds "ah", "oh" and "mh" (I am avoiding sanskrit alphabet here as most web browsers don't have the necessary font to display it!). It is said that that the wavelength (or maybe half-wavelength) of Om is 7.23 cm, the average length across the palm - this would put the frequency at about 4.2 GHz. Microwave ovens work at around 2.45 GHz, as this is an ideal frequency for heating water (which is how microwave ovens work), water comprising 80% of the human body. Some frequencies in the lower GigaHertz region are absorbed by atmospheric precipitation (causes communication difficulties).
The first spoken word is Aham. From Om and Aham arise the basic sanskrit vowels:
sanskrit1.jpg

The 5 basic vowels of the 9 vowel sounds have ah breathed through them which gives rise to 5 glide sounds - the purpose of highlighting this here is to relate it to the first 5 chakras.

The mantra sounds are shown near the top: vam, lam, ram, yam, ham, and Om. Hence a yoga student, depending on their affinity to earth, fire, air, water, etc., would be given a seed mantra accordingly.
There are three realms: Body, Soul and Spirit (physical, astral and causal)
There are four states: Thinking, Sleeping, Dreaming and Sensing.
These 3 x 4 combine to form the 12 signs of the zodiac (the frame of the Universe).
The four states are sometimes described in terms of personality types (cf with Myers-Briggs covered elsewhere):
Analytical
Associating
Thinking
Driver
Sleeping
Will
Amiable
Dreaming
Feeling
Leader
Waking
Sensing

The four basic yoga paths of Karma, Bhakti, Jnana and Raja yoga are associated with the 4 lower chakras. Also shown are the corresponding sanskrit sounds, and the mantras given to assist with meditation at these centres. The astral sounds can sometimes be heard in deep meditation as buzzing, flute, etc., and the chakras may also be seen as wheels of fire.
Internal sounds (see also the table above):
1st chakra Buzzing, like a bumble-bee
2nd chakra Flute
3rd chakra Harp
4th chakra Bell (or gong)
5th chakra Rushing waters
6th chakra Roar, all sounds together (Om)

Kriya Yoga, by Paramahansa Hariharananda, shows the layout of the 50 seed sounds in the human body, and their relationship to the chakras.

The topic and your reply are unrelated.
The matter discussed is if the first word uttered is 'ekong' or'ong' and not the owrd of Sri. Guru Granth sahib ji.

Thanks for reply.

I am quite surprised at your comment to Surinder kaur bhenji. Bhenji's Gurbani quotes and comments are 100% relevant.

We should all try and read Gurbani. After that try and understand what we have read. Finally practice what we have read in our daily life.

"isKI isiKAw gur vIcwir

Sikhi is learning by Contemplating the Gur-Shabad

"

Ek ongkar means One and Only One Akal Purakh(God). No one can fully describe God and many have tried and will continue trying as mentioned in Jap ji Sahib.

In reference to your comment:

To "find/make connection with/to realise" the One and Only One Akal Purakh, one must look towards Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji for help and guidance.

"smJY sUJY piV piV bUJY AMiq inrMqir swcw

If one understands, realizes and comprehends what he reads and studies, in the end he will realize that the True God dwells deep Within his nucleus

[There is only ONE God
and
ALL is in God
and
God is in ALL]

In very simple terms you can say that Ek Ongkar is the "Word/Gur ka Bachan/Shabad Guru" found(realised) via Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and ONLY with Guru's Kirpa.

eyko sbdu eyko pRBu vrqY sB eyksu qy auqpiq clY
Eko Shabad eko prabh vartai sabh ekas te utpat chaalai

The One Shabad, the Word of the One God, is prevailing everywhere. All the creation came from That One
sggs 1334

Its very relavant to turn to Gurbani to realise God.

p/s: Please please please..instead of constant criticism of posters such as "Surinder kaur Cheema" benji, we should be making an effort to learn from them.

Thank you for your nice post. I shall always take care Of your advice about Surinder ji.The matter being discussed is about the 'first word' that was utteed by the Lord , the Almighty and not the Word /Gurbani/Akhar/Naam or the nitnem. However, If she posts something I shall not comment anything as per your kind and valuable advice. Thanks for reminding me.
