Swaminarayanism And Sikhism

Jay Swaminarayan, Waheguruji ka khalsa Waheguruji fateh,

The Swaminarayan religion/sect is about 200 years. Some similarities it has with Sikhism:

+ Removal of superstition
+ Removal of sati
+ Allowed non Hindus to join [i.e. you didn't have to be born into it]
+ Removed vanity based on caste, creed, said all castes can reach God and are equal, no caste is untouchable [however, castes were still expected to stick to their assigned tasks etc.]
+ Uplifted women [built Mandirs for them, forgave a prostitute]
