Son arrested for killing grandfather, parents and sister

Amrit Bir Singh(24) has been arrested and produced in court on Friday for mercilessly killing his father, mother, grandfather and sister.
Amrit killed his parents Iqbal Singh (55), Jaswinder Kaur (50), grandfather Hameer Singh (75), and sister Gurjagjit Kaur (18 ), Thursday morning at a house in Preet Colony in Nabha town of Patiala district.
According to police officials, Amrit was annoyed with his family members as they were against his marriage with a girl of his choice and fixed his marriage elsewhere.
He murdered them with sharp-edged weapons and a licensed pistol of his father.[
"He was arrested late Thursday. Earlier, he said he had gone to his college in Patiala at the time of the incident. But during rigorous questioning, he broke down and confessed to the crime," said police officials.
Police initially thought upto seven people were involved in the crime and all had made a friendly entry in to the house. The police have recovered a pistol used in the crime.
Bullets have been found in the skulls of three victims, revealed the post-mortem report.
