You are misunderstanding the nature of an avataar. Everything is ultimately Him. But in manifestation, we are individual jivs. Avataaras are sargun saroop of the nirguna. Not all avataaras are complete and shine the same degree of Jyot. But all avataaras are incarnations of the One Uncreated. While we may say every being is the One Divine Beloved, this is correct in a certain sense. But also, a chela is not equal to his Guru, until he becomes enlightened. The sargun saroop are enlightened Guru's who guide the world of darkness back to light. Because Gurbani says that He incarnates. Why is Gurbani using this term, ਅਵਤਾਰੁ ?
