Seeing with these eyes, many have departed. Farid, each one to their own, me to myself.

ESSENCE: Baba Farid ji state in sloak 76 that instead of losing little skin in circumcision if my throat has been so incised I would have had less trouble in life.

Sloak 77 states that as body faculties fail with age, the body keeps complaining for such loss of friends that helped it.

Baba Farid ji in Sloaks 78-81 cover how the need to be good is fundamental even when challenging, time comes for leaving and one needs to be so prepared for it, the time is limited and the ability to receive is based on being there at the right time, and one needs to not be of jealous of others in better shape as Farid ji says we are more alike rather than different.

Baba Farid ji in sloaks 82 and 83 note that even in difficult and dangerous environments, the creator’s company and recognition is of great benefit but in fact very few so recognize.

Sloak 84 notes that the world turns as the creator so directs just like the river shaping its banks.

In sloak 85 Farid ji post the dilemma of pains for an oarsman in the midst of swelling waters. This is answered in sloak 86 where it is noted that however the river so shapes, if the oarsman is attentive all is well.

In sloak 87 Farid ji describe the pain of separation and finding the true friend , the creator , versus scores of worldly friends.

In sloaks 88 and 89 Baba Farid ji state about the botheration of a living body but note how the unrecognized beauty and benevolence of the creator’s giving passes by with each day.

Baba Farid ji describe in sloak 90 the situation of one so old and dissipated and still not having recognized the creator.

In sloaks 91 and 92 the metaphoric crow picking on the eyes and the body flesh is described, but the prayer is that to the end the creator be sought as in seeing out and as in living within.

Farid ji in slaoks 93 and 94 remind that the end state is always waiting and if so recognized and be prepared what is there to worry about as many have come and gone, so be it.
Please note all errors are mine and I stand corrected.

Sat Sri Akal.

Note: Interjection sloaks appear to address some observations in reference to Farid ji's sloak that precede. Whereas Farid ji very strongly and metaphorically state the elements of learning, the interjections provide complementary references to the nature of relationship with the creator.
