As usual I have been absorbed in the paltriness of my own life, thinking it important, forgetting a greater obligation.

The birth date of Guru Ram Das dev ji has just passed and nowhere in the forum has he been honored. And I did not honor him either. For some reason his presence is always overtaken by Gurus Nanaak, Arjan Dev, and Gobind ji. Yet how profound his soul's connection to the Divine! This was recognized by the Bhats, an extended family or tribe of Hindu poets who saw in Ram Das the jyote, of the One Lord and Creator. Oneness of the Divine was the song of the Bhats.

Bhat Kirat -- ‘just as Angad was ever the part of Guru Nanak’s being so is Guru Ram Das of Amar Das" (Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji: Page 1405).
Praise unto Ram Das the Guru, the one who created you, established you.You are such a miracle!

The Creator has installed you on a throne.

Your Sikhs and all conscious people bow to you because you manifest God.

You are unchanging, unfathomable, immeasurable.

Your limit cannot be perceived. Those who serve you with love are carried across the sea of existence.

5 obstacles cannot exist where you are.

The realm that you rule is the true place.

True is your glory.

You are Nanak Angad and Amar Das the Guru.

Oh, when I recognized you, my soul was completed.
