  • (4) Parent Raga: Deepak raga

Wives: Bairavi, Karnati, Gauri, Asavari, Sindhavi. Sons: Salu, Sarag, Sagra, Gaund, Gambhir, Gund, Kumbh, Hamir.

  • (6) Parent Raga: Megh raga

Wives: Sorath, Gaundi-Malari, Asa, Gunguni, Sooho. Sons: Biradhar, Gajdhar, Kedara, Jablidhar, Nut, Jaldhara, Sankar, Syama.

The Names of the Raags, their wives and sons daughters are clearly given....how to translate that as "Everyone is the son..whether this name or that name.." doesnt seem right. 18+10+20= (48) Normal way of counting..and not as "ALL..or whether etc.." READ: Six are male (parent) ragas; the thirty raginis are their wives and the remaining forty-eight are their sons. Its clearly stated in NUMBERS and NAMES.... Khashat raag(6), Ragini tees (30) and 48 sons..... in my opinion the translator is second guessing and applying his own thoughts to the Names as "All, Everyone, Whether etc etc". This Raagmaala is a creation of the 16th/17th century and has no INTRINSIC gurmat Value as the rest of 1429 pages of SGGS.
