Being so deeply concerned about all the unrest in the world and specifically tonight those harmed by the violence in Gaza, Syria and Israel, I wanted to post a few quotes on peace from the Quran:

The worshipers of the All-Merciful are they who tread gently upon the earth,

and when the ignorant address them, they reply, “Peace!”

(Quran 25:63)

When they hear idle talk they turn aside and say:

“To us our actions, to you yours. Peace on you; we do not look for the ignorant.”

(Quran 28:55)

Exempt those who join a people with whom you have concluded a peace treaty,

and those who come to you with hearts unwilling to fight you, nor to fight their relatives.

Had God willed, he could have placed them in power over you and they would have made war on you.

Therefore, if they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then God gives you no way to go against them.

(Quran 4:90)

. . . Do not say to one who offers you peace, “You are not a believer,”

seeking the spoils of this life. For God has abundant treasure.

You used to be like them, after all, and then God blessed you.

(Quran 4:94)

Thanks for letting me do this. Pray for peace, dear friends.
