Naam ras iss the same ras as any other ras or taste to enjoy
One enjoys fruit and enjoys ras by eating. so Naam ras also is enjoyed he same way by reciting God's name through guru's teaching. needs utmost desire, intent, love and humility. and finally guru's teaching. it gives the same taste as eating a ripe mango but much more and keeps reciting guru the God. but lacking anyone of the above criteria one cannot get naam ras.
Why it is needed. it is like a sweet eaten by amute he enjoys it but cannot explain the joy he or she gets. Naam ras is experienced in the mind. Mind is directly connected to the soul. God hides in the soul that is why he is called omnipresent. It is not necessary for a person who does not think about it. He who is looking for godly path needs reciting naam through guru's teaching. naam ras will not develop without the grace of the guru. He wo follows gurus teaching and above conditions will obtain naam ras and enjoy it. Naam ras once obtained and enjoys will never fade away it is eternal
