Hinduism Muskaan

Sep 2, 2010
Despite India's rising position in the world economy, giant segments of our population see no benefit: thousands of children play each day in barren areas of dust and dirt, barred from safe and fun playgrounds.

MUSKAAN - SPRAT's "smile" division - vows to engage the urban impoverished youth in healthy and creative recreation at its recycled-material adventure parks and in this process, promotes communal and social harmony by friendly competitions and sportsmanship. Providing a valid window for youthful vigour, MUSKAAN parks also inspire the poor to improve health and happiness by helping them set up their own gadgetry by recycling everyday waste. These parks serve as hubs and launching pads for allied fun activities, tournaments, waste recycling apart from promoting scientific temper, rational thinking and respect for tools and machines.

In order to bring together children and parents from all spheres of life, MUSKAAN parks are located on the borders between Hindu and Muslim communities; catering to all age groups: slides and swings for small kids, rock climbing wall, rope climbing net for teenagers and many other innovative toys. Filtered water, trees, and a shaded central area ensure safety from heat of Ahmedabad, especially for the elderly.

Believing in the power of rationality, we continue to promote science at MUSKAAN parks through science posters and demonstrative science "toys." We also sponsor various secular workshops, events , and VIP visitors.
