Sat Sri Akal everyone,

I hope you are all doing well :)

ExploringSikhi ji

YOUR POST HAS BEEN DELETED. DA-WAH IS BY DEFINITION AN ATTEMPT TO CONVERT. WE CAN AGREE ON THAT.

It is not the responsibility of any Sikh or Sikh forum to "take this on." You have a lot of work to do. First begin answering your own questions by doing research. You can start by reading the vaaran of Bhai Gurdas ji. Apparently he is recognized as an historian, but you are not sure why that is so.

If you need a reading list, we will provide one.

Undermining Sikhism and the Gurus is a violation of TOS for this forum, as any continued discussion of Da'wah never ceases to be. The thread is an open invitation to be treated to a da-wah, though it parades under a different mask. If your questions had been put forth in a different manner, just list of questions, without directing our attention to the islam/sikhism da-wah site, and if you made a simple request that each question be cleared up one by one, the thread would continue to see the light of day. But you are challenging us to defend ourselves. As if we have something to defend and are helpless to do it! And that is always the problem. First Sikhs are put on the defensive, and then naively Sikhs rise to speak to the challenge, never realizing that the entire point of da-wah is to break the spirit through endless rhetoric. What ensues is a thread where no one learns anything new.

Why should Sikhs be expected to stand and deliver to a volley of rehe{censored}d challenges? Islam claims it has all the answers. Sikhi is proud to have the questions, a sign of a humble intellect. How does a meaningful dialog come from that set-up? Thanks but there is nothing to discuss.

Now with folded hands I suggest that you make a list of questions raised by your encounter with the da-wah site. Type them out. Do not direct this forum to a da-wah site (mostly because they are very good at finding us on their own, we don't have to go looking). Wait for answers. No need to give the Islamic rationale for why the question should be asked. Islam has no dominion over the questions that need to be asked of other religions. If it is a question in YOUR mind, just ask it.
