India already have MNCs in successfull agribusiness and these laws further strengthen and encourages (I have quoted from the Bill about this in my previous thread)The laws are very clearly about entry of multinational/global corporates opening new markets in conditions that will allow them to manipulate prices
Also, Amul India is a classic Case Study to counter your fear . In India 48% of Farm output is not crops -it comprises milk, fishing, forestry, fruit and vegetables etc and active Private Partnership .The production of these items is greater than that of cereals &grains but F&V get no MSP support from the government, nor does milk production.
Poultry farming is an excellent example of private players participation from Backyard Activity to a Major Commercial Activity .One can read about poultry sector in Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare
I want to reiterate about this Farmer Bills from my first thread :
THESE REFORMS ARE NOT ABOUT PDS and MSP .These reforms are giving the Farmer a choice
"If an industrialist can sell his products anywhere in India and the world ,why should a farmer not be allowed to do so''
Anti Farmer Bill lobby wants choice provided to them on n everything from phones to cars and tractors they are driving to block Highways .but dont want the poor farmer who has been exploited for so long to have a choice to sell his produce.
