At regular speed, how long does it take to recite the full 40 verses of Anand Sahib? I've never heard a paath of Anand Sahib and I'm curious of it's length in relation to Jaap (not Japji).

Thanks
Ishna

Ancient Greece
Well, Anand Sahib takes lesser time as compared to Jaap Sahib. Jaap Sahib contains complex syllables while Anand Sahib is mild to the tongue. So, the 'flow' in reciting Anand Sahib is very nice, Guru Amardass Ji's bani maintains this characteristic throughout. You'll enjoy once you recite the bani, I myself forget the watch when I read it.... :)

Thanks Aristotle ji. Most of Gurbani has that beautiful flowing quality. I'm not very fluent with Punjabi yet, I'm still learning the difference between dental and retroflex t's and d's!

I just realised I can just look Anand Sahib up on YouTube and see how long they go for... *facepalm*
