Hindu fanatics behind several sensational cases: Govt

NEW DELHI: Alleged Hindu fanatics arrested by National Investigation Agency (NIA) last month also shot at a nun and killed Ramesh Ninama, a key witness in the infamous murder case of Congress leader Pyar Singh Ninama in Madhya Pradesh.
The home ministry, while releasing its monthly report on Thursday, revealed that alleged Hindu fanatics arrested by NIA had not only confessed to having executed blasts such as those in Samjhauta Express, Hyderabad's Mecca Masjid and Malegaon but also owned up to some sensation murders and shooting incidents.
Home minister Sushilkumar Shinde told the media that the four accused persons (Rajender Chaudhary, Manohar Singh, Dhan Singh and Tej Ram) were involved in incidents of bomb blast at Malegaon in 2006, Samjhauta Express in February 2007, Mecca Masjid, Hyderabad in May 2007 and in Malegaon in September 2008.
"During interrogation, the accused persons have admitted to their roles in three undetected sensational old crimes namely shooting and injuring a lady nun (Leena) in Narwar police station of Ujjain (MP), throwing of grenades at a mosque in Jammu on January 9, 2004 in which two persons had died and 15 others were injured, firing at SAR Geelani in New Delhi (an acquitted accused of Parliament attack case) in February 2005, killing of Muzeeb Lala, a Pathan in Ujjain (MP) and killing of Ramesh Ninama (a key witness in the murder case of Pyar Singh Ninama of Indore)," Shinde said.
In 2001, Leena Veena, a 30-year-old nun based in Ujjain was shot at in the face by motorcycle-borne assailants on the Ujjain-Dewas road.
The 2008 murder of Ramesh Ninama had created a sensation. Ninama was on his way from Manpur to Mhow to give his statement in Mhow court in the murder case of Pyar Singh Ninama and his son Dinesh Ninama of July 2003. While he was passing through the Nandlai Ghati area situated between Jamli and Kumthi villages, his Maruti car was stopped and bullets were fired on him resulting in his death on the spot.
Then MP chief minister Digvijay Singh had spoken on this issue in almost every election rally in the state and had termed RSS a terrorist organization for the first time due to this issue. In fact, all the persons involved in the Ninama murder case belonged to it and RSS pracharak Sunil Joshi was found to be the key conspirator behind the case. Joshi had been absconding since July 2003 and was murdered in November 2007 in Dewas in Chuna Bhatti area by unidentified person from point blank range.
