It is Seventeen kilometers from Abohar and thirty kilometers from Ganganagar. This Gurdwara is also known as Gurdwara Charan Pak Patshahi I and is situated at a distance of 17 Km West of Abohar City, 30 km from District Ganganagar and 9 Km from Panj Kosi railway Station on Abohar - Ganganagar Road in Village Haripura. Gurdwara Bad Tirath Sahib is associated with the First Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji as well as the Tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. A deep pool of water to the north of the village was an ancient place of pilgrimage known as Bad Tirath. Guru Nanak Dev Ji along with Bala and Mardana visited this place during his First Udasi while Guru Gobind Singh Ji came here after the battle of Muktsar. When Guru Nanak Dev Ji came here, a demon, (a <em>rakhsasa</em>) had terrorized the people of village Haripura who burnt their homes every six months.(2). The villagers narrated their tale of woe to Guru Ji, who blessed them and told them not to worry hence forth. It so happened that the demon came to the village while Guru Ji was present. He bowed before Guru Nanak Dev Ji and requested him for salvation (<em>Mukti</em>). Guru Ji blessed him and told him to serve the people and respect place of worship and he would attain salvation. From that Day demon never disturbed the people of the Village. In the North of the Village was a deep pool of water which was an ancient place of Pilgrimage and was known as Bad Tirath, hence the name of the Gurdwara. The Tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji visited this place after winning the battle of 'Khidrane Dee Dhab', while on his way to Nanded. He blessed this place with five arrows. He blessed this place with five arrow tips which are still preserved by the Namdharis in Gurdwara Bhaini Sahib near Ludhiana. A common Gurdwara dedicated to Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh was established in 1876 by Sardar Gurumukh Singh Nilewala. This building was replaced by the present one and the pool was lined up in the beginning of 1947. (3) (4). It comprises of sanctum at the far end of the flat-roofed rectangular hall close to the bank of the pool. The Gurdwara is affiliated to the SGPC against unscheduled n 1110 and is managed by local committee. There is hardly a local Sikhs but the sangat from surrounding villages gather in congregation of amavas when many non-Sikhs also visit to have dip in the Bad Tirath pool.(3) The Birthday of Guru Nanak Devji and amavas are celebrated with great fervor here.
