The First Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji visited this place during one of his preaching tours. From Fatehgarh Korotana, Guru Nanak proceeded to village Dhaudhar. There is a Gurdwara at Gobindgarh about a KM from village Dhaudhar where Guru Nanak and Guru Hargobind are stated to have come. On 1 October 1924, two copper plates with inscriptions were discovered at the place. On one of the copper plates on one side it was written, ‘Guru Nanak visited this place’ (“Nanak tapa ehan ramai”) and on the other side, it was written,’ First and Sixth Guru’s visited the place ( “Pahili patshahi te Chhevin aye”.) The second one is a copper stamp which has the following inscription on one side,’Nanak.’ A Manji Sahib was constructed there itself. The sacred items are believed to be preserved at The Sikh Museum Sri Harmandar Sahib Amrisar. (1)(2)(3)(4) The maintenance is being done by an Akali Sikh.
