An aged Singh hesitates to speak, so a young Singh details what had happened. He states that Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale clearly instructed the Singhs NOT to fire, as they didn’t want any innocents in their homes around Sri Darbar Sahib to get shot even by mistake. His orders were that we won’t fire a single shot unless the army enters the parkarma. The army continued to fire shots from outside, which killed many Sikh pilgrims in the parkarma. Some aged Sikhs express their anguish over this barbaric act of oppression.
