The Quality of the Mind

Can I chew the food to be served to me tomorrow?
Can I chew the food which was served to me yesterday?
Then why am I chewing with my thoughts what may or may not happen tomorrow?
Why am I chewing with my thoughts what has already happened yesterday?

Memory has been given to me by the Universe to retain/store some data in it.
Also in it can be stored a system of arranging and rearranging of data which has been stored or to be stored.

This memory like my hands and legs, is an instrument given to me with a purpose, to be utilised whenever required.
Why am I keeping it running even when not required?

It is like chewing with teeth even when there is no food for it.
The data in memory can be effectively utilised only when there is total Silence.

Imagine what will happen if your tongue, just because it liked a particular taste, retained the memory of it.
Will it not impair all further tastes? Will you not find fault with the tongue?

When not in use, the quality of the tongue is tastelessness.
When not in use, the quality of mind is Silence.
