The mother and father-in-law of the lady who is maltreating the old parents of Village Domeli is depicted with evidences. But in the eyes of Police department the lady who lodged false FIR against the father in law after torn out her clothes and getting admitted in hospital and issuing Medico Legal Report. Everybody knows in India the process of getting MLR and to implicate the inlaws.
THE ROLE OF SON AND DAUGHTER IN LAW CAN BE SEEN AND THE STRAINED RELATIONS AMONG THEM ARE QUITE VISIBLE IN THE VIDEO. The story is that the Father in law and mother in law who are my clients have lodged complaint through me and the case is pending in Kapurthala's court under Maintenance and welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens act, 2007 for eviction of house as both son and daughter in law used to call bad names to the old couple. The last incident is that the Daughter in law broke out the Chullah of the mother in law and then implicated the father in law in false case.
Though the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 has been framed but the enforcement of the provision of the act is rarely seen. Protection of life, liberty and property of the Senior citizens are in stake.
Here the position is that the sons and daughter-in laws don't provide two square meal to the old parents and if they cook their own food then also put hurdles and misbehave with them, torture them and call bad names to them.
No maintenance to old people is being given by children. The son and daughter in law and their children exculusively enjoy the house built by parents despite having strained relationships.
Under Maintenance and welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 Section 2(f) and 3 Property:::: Definition of Property within the meaning of the Act is wide and comprehensive with the object of securing the interest of the elders. This is to be read along with the provision of Sectin 3 which make the provision of the act to have overriding effect notwithstanding anything inconsistent therewith contained in any enactment other than the said act including any instrument having effect under any other act.
