ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਟੇਜ 'ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਮਾਈਕ ਖੋਹਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜੇਲਾਂ 'ਚ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਕੱਟ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਭੁੱਖ ਹੜਤਾਲ 'ਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਕ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਸਟੇਜ 'ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੋਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਮਾਈਕ ਖੋਹ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ''ਇਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਤੇ ਖੜਾ ਹੈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂ ਕਬੱਡੀ ਮੈਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਈ ਹੈ ..ਇਸ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਬਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਚੁਕੇ ਹਨ ..ਸੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੰਥ ਦਰਦੀ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਲਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਜਲਦੀ ਇਸ ਵੀਰ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਏ।
ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੁਝ ਦੇਰ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਇੰਨੇ ਹਾਈ ਸਕਿਓਰਿਟੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ 'ਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਟੇਜ 'ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਫਾਰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਗਾਇਕਾ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮਾਈਕ ਖੋਣਾ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ 'ਤੇ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਗਿਆ।

Ludhiana - During the time when the fourth World Kabaddi Cup variety program was (underway), there was chaos everywhere when a man went up on stage and took the microphone from the singer Narula. The singer was quite nervous. This stage was located outdoors. Security soon arrived on stage and led the out-of-control protestor away.

When climbing on stage, the protestor said that Sikh youth have been cut off from sitting in on the hunger strike for the release of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh. His supporters also came on stage to protest against the government, so that the government 's ears would ring with the sound of Gurbaksh Singh 's voice . The man snatched the microphone and said " A man is standing on the brink of death; yet you had Kabaddi matches. His 2 family members were among the first who died during the struggle .. So my cult organization sympathizes and makes the request that (we) soon hear the sound of this heroic action."

Following the incident, the program was interrupted for a period of time. The level of security was questioned because someone was able to climb on stage and grab the microphone from the singer.

I salute the daring Singh but woe on the Badals who were busy entertaining their elite guests on the taxpayers' money. The Rulers were enjoying the so-called World Cup of Kabaddi (I wonder what have they accomplished by replacing the Indian-style Kabaddi with the unrefined Punjab-style and that too by doctoring with the basic rules of the game, the players no longer utter 'Kabaddi, Kabaddi' while raiding.....the soulful Kabaddi has been already been murdered silently) while the commonfolk protest through hunger-strikes in the bone-chilling cold.
