I hope you will be happy Akash. It will take work but as long as you respect each others beliefs, you should be happy. Here is my story.... I am Christian and my husband is Sikh. We have been married 28 years and have three grown children, raised in the Indian culture. Even though my husband married me, he wants his kids to marry Jat Sikhs. He knows it is hypocritical but feels we have had many problems and he wants them to do what he didn't. I have embraced the Indian culture to make my marriage work. I cook the food, wear the dress and speak Punjabi. Now all three have chosen different religions to marry. One is engaged to a Sikh Sadar, one wants to marry Hindu and one Muslim. My husband will not accept the Muslim marriage and my daughter will have to convert to marry him. My kids were not raised either Catholic or Sikh but we taught them what we both believe and let them decide. My religion accepts all of God's children. I do not judge by caste, religion or color. My family is torn apart because my kids are walking their paths regardless of what their father wants. I do not believe in divorce but we have been separated twice. It is not easy to have so many differences in life. I can't turn my back on my kids and will support them even though their dad won't. It is very sad. Does anyone have any advice? My prayers seem hopeless and I need a miracle.
