Badals hired BJP and Chautala’s brigade of Haryana, with their showords full of Sikh blood stains trying to kill Kapurthala Akali Dal(Amritsar) Jathedar. Later on medical examination it was found he has suffered severe cracks in his skull.

Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) chief Simranjit Singh Mann was injured in a clash between his supporters and SAD loyalists and SGPC officials here today during function organized to mark the 500th birth anniversary of Baba Buddha Ji, the first head granthi of Harminder Sahib.

The clash which saw both the sides using swords, including Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) general secretary Gurjitenderpal Singh Bhikhiwind, injured. While Mann suffered injuries to his legs, Bhikhiwind cut his forehead and was hospitalised.

A case has benn registered against unidentified activists of both the parties.
Today’s clash was the third time that the two sides had perpetrated violence against each other in the recent past.

Today, the trouble started when Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) chief accompanied by nearly 1,000 supports tried to force his way into pandal, near Budhha Sahib Gurdwara, were a joint ceremony by the SGPC and SAD was in progress.

Mann’s supporters pelted the men watching the gate with stones when they were denied entry. The SGPC Task Force and SAD men retaliated with swords and rods. Soon, the two sides were upon each other. Hundreds of policemen watched from sidelines as two sides fought each other with swords and rods for over half-an-hour. Sis rounds were also fired in the air. Turbans, including those of Mann and his deputy Daljit Singh Bittu, come off as mayhem continued.

Mann, with his hair undone, was seen laying on the ground, crying in pain. As two sides the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) leader was helped into a car by policemen to be driven to Amritsar.

The clash took place at the entry gate, some 100 yards away from the stage on which senior SGPC and SAD leaders were seated and Granth Sahib adorned. Harmandir Sahib head granthi Gurbachan Singh had to cut short his speech with members of the congregation panicked over violence in the native village of Buddha.

The ceremony had to be curtailed by 90 minutes There was again some commotion when a visibly upset SAD chief Parkash Singh Badal stood up to address the gathering. He urged the people remain calm and not to play into the hands of “anti-Panth foces”.

In his address, Akal Takhat Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti criticised Mann and his aides for disrupting the ceremony being held in the honour of a man who in his opportunity to work with five Sikh gurus.

INDL chief Om Parkash Chautala and SAD general Secretary Sukhbir Singh Badal were late on the scene and didn’t address the gathering.

A resolution condemned Mann and his associates for disrupting religious ceremonies.
When contact, Majitha SSP Gautam Cheema said they had received on complaints, but a case was being registered on the basis of video clips and account of duty policemen.

Blame game on
