This is what i analyzed in people around me on how they look at Sikhs and or Punjabis atleast in my network

Most of them belong to group C
If family is deemed religious then Group A
And least focus area is Group B

My view is that there need to be more focus on Group B activities.

Group A
1. Listening/doing Paath
2. Going to/Maintaining Gurudwaras
3. Wearing certain articles of faith
4. Listening/Performing Shabad kirtan

Group B
1. Politics/Diplomacy and Sikhism
2. Arts
3. Forming programs to make kids born in Sikh families aware of beliefs and philosophy rather then acts and rituals.
4. Participating in multi religion forums to put our point of view around life and god
5. Spreading the word and educating other religions about Sikhism in public forums and religious events
6. Participating in legislative processes to bring up awareness around Sikhs and languages and scripts'
7. In additions to Saints / Soldiers in Sikhism , awareness around scholars too
8. Study of other religions and their belief systems.
9. Research programs and intellectual discussion groups to understand Sikh philosophy.

Group C
1. Rich food / Drinks / Music
2. Langar
3. Sacrifices done
4. 1984
