AHRC supports Sikhs' demand for "no immunity" to Kamal Nath

New York: After the Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) supported the prosecution of Kamal Nath in its recent statement, the demand of Sikhs for "no immunity" to Kamal Nath in pending case before U.S. Court catches the attention of International Human Rights Organizations.

In its recent report, AHRC states that the governments of both the countries should take the responsibility for to investigate, prosecute and punish crimes against humanity. According to Attorney Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, Legal Advisor Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), the statement of AHRC is very significant step forward in gaining international support for the cause of 1984 Sikh Genocide.

SFJ will approach Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and other international human rights organizations to join and support victims of November 1984 in seeking trial of Kamal Nath in U.S. Court.

According to Advocate Navkiran Singh, Legal Director SFJ, by protecting Kamal Nath the Indian Government is violating the Constitution of India.
