Gurbani teaches us about 4 things to put hard times in perspective -
(i) Hukam (Divine order) - Hukam likh sukh dukh hoi
(ii) Karam (Actions) - Dadda dos na kahu deejai dos karama apne
(iii) World is merely a dream - Eh sansar sagal hai sapna
(iv) Samdarshi (Equanitmity) - sukh dukh jan samdresheta

We get what we deserve, we should accept that and accept responsibility.

Accept our Karam, practice Sat and sow better deeds and hence better Karams.

Sukh and Sukh are the same, all to derive the Truth- the balance.
