What do you do when you are given a salwar kameez that doesn't have a chunni?
Do you just wear a white scarf with it? Would you not wear the suit? Would you try and find some fabric the same colour as the salwar?

I just got two new suits today... one is VERY dressy (it has a lot of beadwork and a very heavy chunni. I plan to only wear it at dressy events like a wedding or maybe Diwali etc.) But not sure how to drape the chunni... I can't do the normal...
This weekend (today to Sunday) is India Fest here... lots of food, clothes, jewellery, and entertainment. A few weekends ago I bought a punjabi suit to wear at the Gurdwara because they are comfortable, and because I stuck out like a sore thumb being the only woman in western clothes there...
So I went and purchased a salwar kameez yesterday right. That's good.
However, I neglected to take note of the fabric the chunni/dupatta was made of.
Turns out it's very silky, and slides off my head within a couple of movements unless I wrap it around my neck tightly.
