Waaho!’ are immaculate and pure; they obtain the knowledge of the three worlds. ||2||ਪਉੜੀ ॥ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੇਵਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਨੀਜੈ ॥By the Lord’s Will, one meets the Guru, serves Him, and worships the Lord.ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਸਹਜੇ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਜੈ ॥By the Lord’s Will, the Lord comes to dwell in the mind, and one easily drinks in the sublime essence of Lord.ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਹਾ ਨਿਤ ਲੀਜੈ ॥By the Lord’s Will, one finds peace, and continually earns the Lord’s Profit.ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਤਖਤਿ ਬਹਾਲੀਐ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਵਸੀਜੈ ॥He is seated on the Lord’s throne, and he dwells continually in the home of his own being.ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਤਿਨੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਿਨਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲੀਜੈ ॥ 16 ॥By the Lord’s Will, one meets the Guru, serves Him, and worships the Lord.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਹੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥‘Waaho! Waaho!’ is the True Lord Master; His Name is Ambrosial Nectar.ਜਿਨਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥Those who serve the Lord are blessed with the fruit; I am a sacrifice to them.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਦੇਇ ਸੁ ਖਾਇ ॥‘Waaho! Waaho!’ is the treasure of virtue; he alone tastes it, who is so blessed.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਭਰਪੂਰੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥‘Waaho! Waaho!’ The Lord is pervading and permeating the oceans and the land; the Gurmukh attains Him.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਨਿਤ ਸਭ ਕਰਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਭਾਵੈ ॥Perfect Guru is pleased with His Praises.ਨਾਨਕ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਜੋ ਮਨਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਮਕੰਕਰੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥O Nanak! One who chants ‘Waaho! Waaho!’ with his heart and mind - the Messenger of Death does not approach him. ||2||ਪਉੜੀ ॥ Pauree:ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸਚਾ ਸਚੁ ਹੈ ਸਚੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ॥The Dear Lord is the Truest of the True; True is the Word of the Guru’s Bani.ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸਚੁ ਪਛਾਣੀਐ ਸਚਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥Through the True Guru, the Truth is realized, and one is easily absorbed in the True Lord.ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾਗਹਿ ਨਾ ਸਵਹਿ ਜਾਗਤ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਣੀ ॥Night and day, they remain awake, and do not sleep; in wakefulness, the night of their lives passes.ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਸੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥.Those who taste the sublime essence of the Lord, through the Guru’s Teachings, are the most worthy persons.ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਪਚਿ ਮੁਏ ਅਜਾਣੀ ॥੧੭॥Without the Guru, no one has obtained the Lord; the ignorant rot away and die. ||17||ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ Shalok, Third Mehl:ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥‘Waaho! Waaho!’ is the Bani, the Word, of the Formless Lord. There is no other as great as He is.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹੁ ਹੈ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਚਾ ਸੋਇ ॥He is seated on the Lord’s throne, and he dwells continually in the home of his own being.achaa so▫é.‘Waaho! Waaho!’ The Lord is unfathomable and inaccessible. ‘Waaho! Waaho!’ He is the True One.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ਹੈ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥‘Waaho! Waaho!’ He is the self-existent Lord. ‘Waaho! Waaho!’ As He wills, so it comes to pass.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥‘Waaho! Waaho!’ is the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, obtained by the Gurmukh.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਮੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਇ ॥‘Waaho! Waaho!’ This is realized by His Grace, as He Himself grants His Grace.ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ Shalok, Third Mehl:ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਆਪਿ ਅਖਾਇਦਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਇ ॥Waaho! Waaho!’ The Lord Himself causes us to praise Him, through the True Word of the Guru’s Shabad.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਿਫਤਿ ਸਲਾਹ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋਇ ॥Waaho! Waaho!’ is His Eulogy and Praise; how rare are the Gurmukhs who understand this.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਹੈ ਸਚਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਇ ॥Waaho! Waaho!’ is the True Word of His Bani, by which we meet our True Lord.ਨਾਨਕ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਤਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥O Nanak! Chanting ‘Waaho! Waaho!’ God is attained; by His Grace, He is obtained. ||1||ਮਃ ੩ ॥Third Mehl:ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਤੀ ਰਸਨਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਈ ॥Chanting ‘Waaho! Waaho!’ the tongue is adorned with the Word of the Shabad.ਪੂਰੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਆਈ ॥Through the Perfect Shabad, one comes to meet God.ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਮੁਹਹੁ ਕਢਾਈ ॥How very fortunate are those who with their mouths, chant ‘Waaho! Waaho!’ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੇਈ ਜਨ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਤਿਨੑ ਕਉ ਪਰਜਾ ਪੂਜਣ ਆਈ ॥How beautiful are those persons who chant ‘Waaho! Waaho!’; people come to venerate them.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥Waaho! Waaho!’ is obtained by His Grace; O Nanak! Honor is obtained at the Gate of the True Lord. ||2||ਪਉੜੀ ॥Pauree:ਬਜਰ ਕਪਾਟ ਕਾਇਆ ਗੜੑ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਕੂੜੁ ਕੁਸਤੁ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ॥Within the fortress of the body are the hard and rigid doors of falsehood, deception and pride.ਭਰਮਿ ਭੂਲੇ ਨਦਰਿ ਨ ਆਵਨੀ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅੰਧ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ॥Deluded by doubt, the blind and ignorant self-willed Manmukhs cannot see them.ਉਪਾਇ ਕਿਤੈ ਨ ਲਭਨੀ ਕਰਿ ਭੇਖ ਥਕੇ ਭੇਖਵਾਨੀ ॥They cannot be found by any efforts; wearing their religious robes, the wearers have grown weary of trying.ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਖੋਲਾਈਅਨੑਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਨੀ ॥The doors are opened only by the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, and then, one chants the Name of the Lord.ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਿਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ ਪੀਆ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਨੀ ॥੧੪॥The Dear Lord is the Tree of Ambrosial Nectar; those who drink this Nectar are satisfied. ||14||ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ Shalok, Third Mehl:ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਤਿਆ ਰੈਣਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਵਿਹਾਇ ॥Chanting ‘Waaho! Waaho!’ the night of one’s life passes in peace.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਤਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਇ ॥Chanting ‘Waaho! Waaho!’ I am in eternal bliss, O my mother!ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਤਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥Chanting ‘Waaho! Waaho!’, I have fallen in love with the Lord.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਮੀ ਬੋਲੈ ਬੋਲਾਇ ॥Waaho! Waaho!’ Through the karma of good deeds, I chant it, and inspire others to chant it as well.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਤਿਆ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਇ ॥Chanting ‘Waaho! Waaho!’, one obtains honor.ਨਾਨਕ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਤਿ ਰਜਾਇ ॥੧॥O Nanak! ‘Waaho! Waaho!’ is the Will of the True Lord. ||1||ਮਃ ੩ ॥ Third Mehl:ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲਧੀ ਭਾਲਿ ॥Waaho! Waaho!’ is the Bani of the True Word. Searching, the Gurmukhs have found it.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਬਦੇ ਉਚਰੈ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥Waaho! Waaho!’ They chant the Word of the Shabad. ‘Waaho! Waaho!’ They enshrine it in their hearts.ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਕਰਤਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਹਜੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਾਲਿ ॥Chanting ‘Waaho! Waaho!’ the Gurmukhs easily obtain the Lord, after searching.ਸੇ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੨॥O Nanak! Very fortunate are those who reflect upon the Lord, Har, Har, within their hearts. ||2||ਪਉੜੀ ॥ Pauree:ਏ ਮਨਾ ਅਤਿ ਲੋਭੀਆ ਨਿਤ ਲੋਭੇ ਰਾਤਾ ॥O my utterly greedy mind, you are constantly engrossed in greed.ਮਾਇਆ ਮਨਸਾ ਮੋਹਣੀ ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਫਿਰਾਤਾ ॥In your desire for the enticing Maya, you wander in the ten directions.ਅਗੈ ਨਾਉ ਜਾਤਿ ਨ ਜਾਇਸੀ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਖਾਤਾ ॥Your name and social status shall not go with you hereafter; the self-willed Manmukh is consumed by pain.ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਨ ਚਖਿਓ ਫੀਕਾ ਬੋਲਾਤਾ ॥Your tongue does not taste the sublime essence of the Lord; it utters only insipid words.ਜਿਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਤਾ ॥੧੫॥Those Gurmukhs who drink the Ambrosial Nectar are satisfied. ||15||ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ Shalok, Third Mehl:ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਤਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਖੀਐ ਜਿ ਸਚਾ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੁ ॥Chant ‘Waaho!
