When failed, the police had to resort to firing, killing one rioter on the spot, and injuring others. Only then situation was brought under control. </p><p> “In the violence, Muslim worship places, shops and Idgah were damaged. The residents were attacked with weapons. When police came to control the rioters, they started stone pelting on police, SP rural Sharat Kaviraj and other policemen were injured and they retreated. But according to Mushawarat and other media reports, the state government discriminated while disbursing compensation amount. </p><p> The family of deceased rioter was given Rs 5 lakh and a job and other injured from the Bandhu Mali community was given Rs 2 lakh, 1 lakh and 50 thousand. On the other hand, only Rs 10,000 was given for damaged Idgah while Rs 2-3 thousand to the damaged shops and injured from the Muslim community.
