[QUOTE="Harry Haller, post: 201711, member: 14641"] I do not worship a god that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard I do go out and do things for myself, and I do not worship god, as you say, what is the point? The point is, that in my own opinion, Sikhism is a way of life, not a religion. If your idea of religion is to show humility and obedience only to god, and even then, only for personal gain, then it appears it is possibly you, and people like you that have created your own model. I am not big on word mumbling, ceremonies, rituals, calming music, candles, photographs that bear no relation to the original subject, weird mughal style turbans, etc etc etc. However, what I do is try and keep a connection with Ek Ong Kar, and because Ek Ong Kar is in every living thing, it does not take an idiot to work out that one can keep this connection by seeing god in everything and being prepared to assist god in whatever situation. You see a Sikh gives, not takes, a Sikh only prays to god for more people to help, well, I think thats how it was in the beginning, before the Audi and BMW gangs took over, but I did think even though folk made a complete mockery of the very reasons Sikhism was set up, and if anything turned full circle back to the mumbling and the rituals, that in your hearts, they knew what they were doing was incorrect and more related to Hinduism than Sikhism. I am not a Sikh for personal gain, I am a Sikh because I feel a responsibility for what happens around me, and I try and do what ever I can to help, but only if it is happening in front of me, I am no saint, I do not go looking for people to help, but god seems to send enough my way to keep me busy. No, we are Sikhs, the ones that put back into the pot what you are your like keep taking out. You are confident enough to mention masturbation in your threads, even I am not that confident! and if you are suicidal, and folk are trying to help you, maybe might be a good idea to consider the huge amount of advice that has been given to you by many, instead of arguing your own agenda, which could even possibly be why you feel the way you do.
