He had also set up two committees to inquire into relief and rehabilitation work as well as look into the scope of increasing compensation that would stand to benefit 3,500 Sikh families. The two committees, headed by special secretary KP Singh and secretary (border management) DK Sankaran, had submitted their reports to Union home secretary VK Duggal on October 29.
