For someone who was supposed to die before puberty, I'm doing pretty well at 58. Physically, it could be better. I had a major stroke 4 years ago and am partially paralysed from that and my knee injured in the genocide ( Akal Takht says we are now to use that term) in Delhi is giving me fits. And I'm horribly fat. Still, I'm happily hobbling through life, contributing what I have to contribute, expressing my opinions (grandiose all, I have no humble opinions) and raising hell. Most of my friends these days are on line (yes, "I love my computer because my friends live in there" :Missy: )and are either in their 20s or 30s, a few younger, quite a few a bit older. Those young ones keep me from turning into an out-of-touch old fogey, although I admit that my interest in Justin Bieber is minimal. Even when I was young, I preferred men with full beards, not little boys. I do not like 99% of the rap I've heard (Exceptions: that one about the BP oil spill "Sorry Ain't Enough Anymore and anything by Weird Al Yankovic). Mick Jagger at 70 looks pathetic, but he really didn't look much better in 1968. I have experienced the best and worst life has to offer. I have felt the joy of being the most loved :happysingh:and the pain of being the most hated :8-(::chainsaw:. I have learned how to remain in chardi kala. cheeringkudi For me, the key to happiness icecreamkauris accepting that it's all the Hukam of Vaheguru.ikonkaar wahkaur I still have a few more years till I reach 70; an even dozen, actually. Being Sikh has caused my greatest pains and brought my greatest joys and, most important, has taught me the truth of the lines: "Thinking young and growing older is no sin And I can play the game of life to win." I know a few who have won this game in the most dramatic fashion. I intend to win, too, maybe not as dramatically, but just as surely. The rules and strategy have been given us in Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. It's all a matter of learning application. No magic, no secret teachings, no hocus-pocus. It's just a matter of doing it. Oh, dear, this has turned into another essay. Sorry. (Not really:blushhh:) I love you all. kaurhugmundahugkudihug(Singh yet to come!)
