japjisahib04 ji so well said. Indeed these will end up being impoverished one parent boys and girls born out of wedlock and a laughing stock of all around them. They will unfortunately not be able to answer the question, "Who is your daddy?" The same question has generated large ghettos and desperate children open for exploitation in poor neighborhoods throughout America. In America, many of these gravitate towards drugs and other crimes. In places like Tunisia and others these indeed will get picked up for brainwashing and continued supply of children soldiers and baby suicide bombers. If they do survive to adulthood they will become like there mothers or as told about their father(s). What a stupid concept and it is in a way what many warring rulers and armies have also done in the past. The Japanese using Chinese women/girls, the Mughal invaders taking away girls from invasions of India, and so forth. Ironically some interpretations of Islamic thought that I have read espouse the idea of "temporary partners" for people fighting for Islam or in the name of Islam. Invariably these end up being females exploited by male miliatias/armies/jihadists. You don't need a specific fatwa to justify it. Read works of Anwar al-Awlaki who basically created a manifesto for Jihadists and is much followed by young people who rightfully or wrongfully pursue the cause of Jihad in Islam. As one can point out, Islam as practiced by many if not the majority so associated, is a religion ideal for macho men with harem after death and free supply of docile/subjugated women during life times. It is the fastest growing religion in the world so may be that is the natural order or the right way and most others are in the wrong! I don't know, but I just observe without bias or malice. Regards to all. PS: Folks sometimes we treat what we read as reports on media and internet to be true. It is a dangerous assumption. However my conjecture and statements above are based on such a report being true other than comments about "temporary wives" in theaters of war.
