The Iran-Iraq war was in full blows from a period of 1980 to 1988…peace treaties were signed in 1988. Now anybody who knows the sinews of war knows that it requires a tremendous human effort. Now if you recall the explosive population growth of Germany during early phases of World War 2 you can understand exactly why the Iranians abandoned the fertility control policy. (it was done for entirely materialistic/propagandist reasons, perhaps to win the war…not so much because of religion) </span></span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'"><span style="font-size: 12px">So why isn’t the population increasing now?
